Fit my 1978 Jeep CJ7 factory air. Had a bit of work getting the unit apart to get this new switch in, but it works great now.

You can add this to many older automobile ac systems to cycle the compressor if the original evaporator pressure regulator device (POA, etc.) has failed open even if there was no such switch originally. If the POA has failed shut, you must replace it with a straight tube. You can mount this under dash with its long capillary tube and then you can easily adjust evaporator temperature for coldest temperature without freezing it. I tested this unit with salted ice water, thermometer and ohmmeter, and it switched perfectly, changing switching point as I turned the stem.
