I was a draftsman back in the early 70's so I have a natural affinity for mechanical pencils.Now days I like the thicker lead for marking on projects I'm doing around the house and working projects with my son.The set comes with 3 metal pencils and plenty of lead as well as colored inserts.Since the set came with 3 pencils I gave one of to my son which he immediately put to use on a project we were working on at his house.I would buy again. I would most definitely Recommend this product.

No kidding, it is a joy to use this pencil each and every time. I love the weight and lead size. I love well made mechanical pencils and this may be the best I have used. They only have one flaw I have found. If you drop it and it lands on the tip you can damage where the lead comes out and render the pencil inoperative. But because of the quality built I was able to ream the tip back open and like magic, we are back in business again. Great product.

Pencils are well made, lots of spare lead. Eraser on pencil is black and doesn't work well. White block erasers work fine.

I have a couple of these sets. They have served me well. I love taking notes with these pencils and I sign my photographic prints with them. Highly recommended.

Outstanding product for the price.It's functional, although not without flaws.The grip checkering is too fine, it's more slippery than the more expensive 1.3mm pencilsthe small eraser on the back of the pencil is harder than the said competition, as result it doesn't erase as cleanlyNow, as far as advantages, this pencil is slightly shorter, if you have a tactical/field note pad cover, this one fits better.the build quality is just as good as the more expensive brand, if not betterand with the outstanding price, you don't have to worry about losing it in the field

Very good pencil, thin but fits hand comfortablly, writes smooth and writes on rite in the rain paper good, I plan on buying rite in the rain 1.3mm lead refills once I run outta the stock lead that came with this pencil...kinda wish id've bought the 22pcs instead of the 10pcs one...

This pencil feels very well made. Has some weight to it so it feels very sturdy and strong if you were to drop it. Great for construction use and holds up to falls. What I love best about this pencil compared to other is the fact that there is no skinny point where if it were to drop it would get bent and render the pencil useless. I’ve had many led pencils where if I don’t push the metal tip back in and drop it, it would bend causing the led to either break when being pushed out or just not able to be dispensed. The tip on this pencil is made as one whole piece that is part of the grip which is nice. I like to use mechanical pencils because I like to make precise marks that I feel like wood pencils constantly need sharpening. This solves the problem from bent tips and having to keep buying cheap or plastic led pencils that break all the time.

These things were heavy because theyre metal but they weren't exactly heavy duty. The tops came off so if you had them clipped into a pouch or anything the only way to pull it up is from the top and instead just the top would come off. That's probably why they give you extra because they know it's a bad design and they'll just come off. I had multiple of the heads where the lead comes out break and just stop pushing lead through. Returned this cause they were just not good.
