I tried quite a few amps and this one is the best value and most power. I would not recommend full-range/sub switchable amps - those do neither good. Great match with Dayton Audio MKSX4 sub. I keep it at 10 o'clock position, connected to L channel from the sub out on AIYIMA A70 Balanced Stereo Amplifier.

Such a good little sub amp. worked so well with my edifier speakers that I had to stop using it when I moved, as to not piss off the neighbors.

I'm currently using the Fosi to power a compact DIY sub employing 2 Dayton Epique E-150's & 2 10" PR's. Bass management is handled by an Emotiva PT-2, so the Fosi runs full freq. In my basement home theater this is the punchiest and most musical bass set-up I've ever run. It works great for any input; TV, movies, vinyl, FLAC & ALAC, streaming, CDs...you name it. This unit has power to spare in this arrangement. Since I have the compact Fosi mounted to the bottom of the sub, I just give the volume knob a little twist if I ever want to rattle walls. Most of the time it's perfect right where I've dialed it in. The ideal solution for me.

My use case for this amplifier involves an in-wall mounted ten-inch non-powered subwoofer and a transceiver with RCA left and right passive subwoofer outputs. The location of the sound system is the great room/living room. Open floor plan, two story ceiling height with tile floors. While I have seen some reviewers claim this amplifier does not have the capability to power a large room, I did not find that to be the case at all. After connecting the Fosi amp to my transceiver, I was able to literally dial in the necessary frequency and volume I needed to compliment the other speakers in my sound system (all in-wall mounted surround speakers). The Fosi amp's frequency dial and volume dial allowed fine tuning of both until I had exactly what I wanted in the form of rich and ample bass that more than fills the space. Once I set it up and tuned it in, I have not had to worry with it again. This is a great product for those who have the need for a separate amplifier for your passive subwoofer. I highly recommend it.

Used to repower a Mirage MM-6 with a dead plate amplifier. The original amplifier was probably repairable, but everything was covered in glue and there are integrated circuits in the design that could also hinder repair attempts.I gutted the internals and added speaker wire terminals to the old back plate. The Fosi does a great job powering the mini sub and having the controls up on the desk is much better than having to crawl underneath the computer desk to adjust things. this makes it more likely to actually use the sub instead of leaving it off. It helped seamlessly expand the range of some vintage realistic minimus 7W speakers on the computer desk.

If you have a plate amp on a subwoofer that has gone bad, before you spend hours and $$ on trying to bring it back to life, give this little guy a try. In a package smaller than a box of kitchen matches is a little D class amp that likely puts out an honest 80-100 watts which is more than enough for most subwoofers. If that doesn’t light your fire, buy the bigger power supply brick. It also has a variable 20-220Hz filter so it’s only giving your speakers what they need. And, to all the ‘tonality’ comments, it’s a subwoofer amp operating below 200Hz, likely 100100Hz or less depending on your settings. At that frequency sound is apt to be non-directional and signature more a function of the sub you are using than the amp. This is the perfect application for D class, hyper-efficient and less analytical. This thing saved me hours of rebuild time and likely a bunch of money too, who knew?

I have a 1987 Velodyne 12" sub woofer that I used in my garage for music listening primarily. The sub amp died and because the enclosure of the sub is veneer and attractive, I wanted to resurrect it. This little amp worked great when connected to the sub out on my receiver. Not audiophile caliber but not bad for the price.

I bought this after months of research not sure how the dice was going to roll, but after setting up the crossover frequency & volume this little sucker has some nice clarity and detail to my ears it comes with a 24 volt power supply,i have it in a home theater surround sound along with a single powered 15 & a powered dual 12 subwoofer box each with their own separate amplifier for a total of four subs,I have it connected to a single Skar Audio prefab 12 sub box with a Memphis 12 sub installed, everything is tweaked and playing nice, great sounds coming out of it not pushing it hard it's keeping up with the rest of the subs barely getting warm with usage. It shakes the wood paneling walls.I like it wouldn't have known size of a amplifier is not how big it is but what it can do with out taking up a lot of real estate in your room.
