I have never lubricated the shaft on my flex drive, ordered it on impulse with another order. It's grease and works fine but honestly I would think any grease will do the job.

Used on foredom flex shaft that was never greased before works great now. Only with they would sell in a larger tube. What comes is the size of a travel toothpaste tube

Used this on my 50 year old Foredom flex shaft. I had greased it before with whatever grease I had on hand. The right grease gave it new life.

Its a tube of grease...Bigger than i thought, should last a while..Msds (or sds as they call it now a days (so much for standards)) says its a lithium soap based. Im pretty sure it was. Maybe just lithium?? But sure has that classic tractor smell like a moly grease. Although it is fairly opaque and orange in color. So i highly doubt theres MOS2 in it.Fwiw i put some ptfe, graphite, and MOS2 high performance brake grease in my cable for the mean time.Ill replace it after a while. (I got my foredom used that was quite new but sitting a long time. Didnt come with the chuck key either.) :(
