What can I say. It was what I expected and it fit well in my 2009 F150 with the 3v 5.4L Triton. My VCT Solenoid change went well and fit well with this seal.

If you are going to rebuild your 5.4 L 3V triton engine, then you already know that it is a time-consuming Job, and you do not want to do it twice.I got this kit and I rebuilt my 5.4 3V, and now my engine is as quiet as can be, running perfectly, and throwing no error codes. I also did the rockers, the hydraulic lash adjusters, the VVT solenoids, a high volume Melling oil pump, and a number of other “while you are in there” jobs.I strongly recommend using genuine Ford for the engine internals (with exception to the Melling high-volume oil pump). The build quality, the fit, the finish, and the modifications implemented by genuine Ford are essential for this job. You do not want to mess around with counterfeit or aftermarket on this and you do not want to save a buck because all you’re going to do is have to redo the job or, worse yet, ruin your engine.I purchased these directly from Amazon, from “OEM Select Parts” and the parts were shipped from Beshore and Koller Ford, a dealer out of Manchester PA.

OEM part for VCT seals that are circular (new style). Must remove the head to replace these and the old ones remove by tapping them out from the back. Use a small nail punch on the corner to work the old ones out slowly.

These where as advertised they are the as some say the real deal. Yes way to know these are the correct ones for your engine is can you remove solenoids without having to remove valve covers first? If you can than these aren’t going to work for you need the other larger size set of seals. Fortunately there are only two styles available so look a little more amazon does have them also they look similar but slightly different.

The seal worked as advertised though I had a problem with oil in the engine anyway (I suspect a bad oil pump). I'm not sure if I should have been replacing the cam shaft sensor, but I did and that didn't do a thing for the issue. If I were doing it over, I would have replaced all three of the following: 1) the oil pump, 2) the phasers, and 3) the cam shaft sensors.

Don't buy this seal thinking it will allow you to replace the VVT solenoid with out removing the valve covers!!!! You Must Remove the valve covers on the later engines that this seal fits!!! And you probably won't mess up the seal doing that!
