For you, going from no camera to having one is more.
Before purchasing check the back of your Monitor/Screen that you have a Yellow RCA input for easy installation.
If you don't have a hole at the bottom of the tailgate for the wires to come out, you can drill a 7/8" hole and one on the bed lip to pass the wires along the frame.
For the power supply, you can connect it to any 12V power source. For example, if you wanted the camera to always be on, you can connect it to a 12v source that is on all the time, or if you only want it when you reverse you can connect it to the reverse taillights. Includes video and power extension cable, 8 Meters.

Image quality isn’t impressive and limited range of view. The wire they sent was almost too short for my f350, I had to make it work by not having a clean route

I have a 2004 F250 Super Duty Crew cab with the 6 ft bed. The tailgate camera replacement is a perfect fit. Some adjustment had to be done with wiring and a bit of technical skill is required. If you have done a wired camera before then this job will not be too difficult. Lots of instructions online specifically for this type of replacement. I'm very pleased, only if the handle was chrome, like my original tailgate handle.

This has a fairly standard 4 pin connector that plugs into a RCA jack extension. The 4 pin connector is the same as used by many Dashcams, but I could not get this to work with any of them. I believe this is due to the power supply being part of the RCA jack extension. I really wanted to use this as a rear facing camera extension of the dashcam, but it seems to be intended solely for use as a backup camera. It might work if I found a female RCA jack to plug into the 4 pin connector for the Dashcam, but I don’t feel like throwing more money at this hoping it might work. It would be most helpful if the manufacturer specified what screen(s) it works with. Additionally the plastic feels lighter than the OEM tailgate handle, making me question the durability. Mine came with a nick in the plastic right out of the box
