After purchasing a Kindle Kids tablet, we always used the warranty service to repair the screens of our tablets when they had any damage. I attempted to replace the screen myself and found that this kit included everything needed, with the exception of a heating element to remove the adhesive. The tools included worked just as well as one of my other electronic screen replacement tools for other major brands.After replacing the screen, we have had not issues for multiple months.

My daughters tablet screen broke and I got this to replace it. It was fairly easy to put on and fit great. I do wish it came with some instructions but a quick YouTube search and I found a step by step guide to install it. Works just like new.

Product has multiple protective screens to be removed. With no instructions it is not clear if any of these are to remain. When removing the interior protective screen this broke the cable connector. This device is not intended to be fixed at its price point, easier to replace with a new one with better performance parts than fix an old and slow fire tablet

Buyer beware... mine showed up, box in good condition - pulled the screen out of the packing bag only to find the screen worse shattered than the actual tablet screen its replacing. Return started.Update:I’ve re-ordered 3 times now and every one has shown up shattered. Seriously.

Turns out the screen and the board are a single piece and cannot be replaced with just this item. If your screen is cracked you may need to replace the whole device.

Installed by a friend who is a computer technician; has replaced screens on my iPad and other Amazon fire tablet. The touch screen did not work at all. Very disappointed

This was bought after another screen failed to work at all but that customer service said it should BUT did not. I specifically bought this one from the listing description AND it has pictures of the same OEM connection like in the pictures . When I got it, I was VERY disappointed seeing it was NOT LIKE the pictures OR the OEM screen. It only has 15 or so connectors on the screen... As much as they say this fits, It does technically fit HOWEVER the touch screen is HORRIBLE and does not work but 10-15% of the time if we are lucky.

We were at a friends house and one of my kids stepped on a tablet and cracked the screen. This was a good replacement that worked really well. The only thing and reason why I gave the Adhesion 4 stars was the connector for the original screen had adhesive sticking it to the motherboard and this replacement didn't have it. Not a major issue but of the various YouTube videos I watched they all had a sticky back already on that certain part. Not a product fault but I did end up scuffing up the plastic frame the screen sits in. I definitely needed to use more heat to soften the existing tape that held the cracked screen on. The included tools were really helpful.

Item arrived promptly and well packaged. Crazy, but no instructions were provided. Had to rely on YouTube help, which I watched several videos many times before starting. With some patience, the installation was not too complicated (hour). The problem now, the touch screen is unresponsive — with no help available. So 60mins has escalated to 4+ hours and still not working. It was working fine with the cracked screen - kind of wish I waited to replace bc now I have a kindle I cannot use just prior to going to the beach for the weekend. Still cannot believe no instructions provided or link to video. I will share an update if I am able to fix. One star — worst off than when I started. Frustrated & disappointed.UPDATE: via YouTube I was able to resolve. I simply had to hold the power button until the kindle restarted (therefore no need to touch screen). Was it restarted the touch screen worked. Updating to 4 stars — can’t give 5 bc no instructions provided. July30 Update -- lowered to 3 stars. Touch screen response is poor via finger or stylus.

This kit was great. Has everything you need except instructions. There are videos out there so my suggestion is to watch them before you decide to buy this. This is not an easy job on this tablet.After getting this digitizer installed, it didn't work. I thought I had ruined the digitizer connector to the motherboard so I ordered a second kit. I was not going to be defeated.Before getting and opening the second kit I watched a couple more videos on this particular model, L72LL4. I went back on my initial installation and found that the digitizer connector just wasn't seated properly on the motherboard, not actually ruined like I thought. After fixing that connection, the first replacement worked great. I never had to open the second and was able to return it.Fortunately, I was able to get my little neighbors tablet working for only $24. Cheaper than a new one at $75 and she's happy.

No instructions, but easy videos you can find online for this exact kit even. Included everything you need, besides a heat gun which was helpful but not required. Good quality so far. My 4 year old had broken his amazon tablet and i was able to use this kit to replace it in under an hour. I havent replaced any screens on tablets before so id recommend this for pretty much anyone. Easy overall, slightly tough getting the old screen on which isnt anything to do with this new screen. Overall extremely satisfied.
