Final dimensions after washing and dying are 15 inches by 17 inches. I store freshly washed romaine lettuce in cotton bags (in the crisper drawer of fridge) and it usually lasts for a week or longer. I should have bought the larger size.

These bags are nicely made. Inside the bags, the seams are finished with an overlock stitch so they won’t fray. The drawstrings pull easily in their casings, and the cordlock keeps the tightened strings in place. At the moment, I’m using two of the bags for fresh made bread. The cloth allows a bit of air flow that helps keep the crust crunchy. The others I use for produce. But I’m thinking about getting more to store linens. I like to keep all the sheets and pillowcases in a set together, and these bags would work nicely. They are really nicely made cotton bags.

The four Hell Blues bags are reasonably thick and seem very sturdy. They are stitched well, uniform in size, and have a drawstring closure. The organic bags are naturally colored and rustic looking. Whatever you use them for, the wide opening makes them easy to fill and use. While I know that people often use these to protect shoes, hats and other wearables, I intend to use them for food applications. They are great for storing potatoes in a way that keeps the light from turning them green, yet still lets them breathe. They can store a wide range of fruits and vegetables inside your refrigerator bins too. My grandmother used to use them when making large batches of broths and jams to strain the liquids. Best of all, you can use them to replace plastic bags and create less trash. They can be machine washed and used over and over. These bags are a good quality product at a fair price.
