I have brand name case identical to this one that I paid 3 times the price for. Take away the name on the case and you can't tell them apart!

There's a lot to like here, from the properly formed case parts to the rigid shaping, but I can't help but think that there was an "Almost" that got missed.There's no slot for the barrel of the clarinet. Only hard plastic slots, two vertical, assuming one for the mouthpiece cover if for some reason you're storing it without it, but the other Fits the barrel, but loosely. And since it's a hard slot, that's concerning.I feel like whoever designed this saw a clarinet in a picture, saw all the parts, got a stack of them to make the forms for the foam, and the barrel fell off the desk and rolled away. So they thought, "Oh hey, we got all the parts but we've got all this extra room. Surely that's not a problem."I can make it work with a cloth around the barrel to keep it safe, but this is a bit ridiculous that this mistake was made.

This is a perfectly sized, nearly identical replacement case for our student clarinet. This instrument is about to be turned over to the fourth child in the extended family and the original case was getting pretty tattered. I wouldn't have thought that clarinet cases were any easy to replace item but this order proved me wrong. This case admittedly has slightly less plush velvet padding than the original but is otherwise identical. Value price and clean fresh look round out a great holiday gift.

Not same as the product in the picture. Still a great case. Very lightweight and durable so far. Has handle to carry or strap for shoulder. Also has outside zipper compartment.
