I own several of these folding saws. This one has the shortest blade of the 3 or 4 I own. That is mostly a negative as a long blade allows for faster cutting and larger branches, etc. But there is some positive to being smaller. Easier to fit into tool bags and serves purpose for most smaller jobs around house / yard.The quality feels quite good. I always wonder / worry about rust-proofing on these cheaper tools. Very easy for screws or blade to rush which dulls blade and weakens functionality. But I can't respond about that yet but something to consider.For the low price (half or 1/3rd of most similar products), this is a very well designed and well made saw. Blade cuts well although I cannot attest yet to durability over months / years. For small jobs and infrequent use, this seems to be a great value for most people. I would recommend

For the price I don't know if you'll find a better tree pruning saw. The handle is light weight and made of sturdy plastic with a rubber grip. Your fingers are fully protected by the handle during use and it comes with a pair of cotton work gloves too. The blade locks into place (both opened and closed) and is released using a button on the top of the handle. The blade is 8 inches long and is very sharp. Cutting small limbs is very fast using this saw. It's great for trimming branches around the yard and would also work nice while camping since it folds up to about 9" x 3.5" for easy packing.

This is a lightweight, folding hand saw. It locks in place for safety, and it comes with some gloves too. The blade is 8 inches, good for a lot of branch sizes. We will be taking it camping this year to help when gathering kindling wood or smaller branches. For now, since it is so lightweight and pretty small, we have brought it on several dog walks and used it to cut up a couple of branches in the way on the paths/bike trails we walk on. It is very portable. Sharp enough for what we have tried it on - mainly branches. Great value.

First, let me say that for myself, the length of the blades on these type of hand saws is a big deal. THIS one is what I consider a perfect length for average use. When I use one with longer blades those tend to flex more and in my opinion seem slightly slower and require more effort/energy. Also, the shorter bladed saws can fit into tighter spaces.I really like this folding saw. It's lightweight and very sharp. It sliced through a two inch green branch unexpectedly fast and unlike some similar saws I have used, leaves an unusually smooth cut. Of course that doesn't matter so much for general yardwork but it might for one using it to cut wood for something like a craft product. I do like the feeling of extra protection the handle design has. The saw appears to be well made and of nice quality materials. I will update this review with info such as how well the blades stay sharp with use, etc. as I use this folding handsaw more if needed.

If you know what this type of saw is used for, it'll exceed it's value bar far! The teeth on this saw is not meant for delicate sawing. If you're looking to cut branches that exceed 2 inches, this is for you. Think...limbing up a Crepe Myrtle. I use a pole saw with this exact tooth configuration. Works excellent! The saw is light and keeps you from hurting your fingers. It's quite large if you're wondering about size. This is a great value for the money!

So....the handle is plastic. This can be good or bad, depending on your personal use. For me, it's a good thing. It means weight reduction. The is light weight but feels solid. It has a rubber grip that may or may not help in wet conditions. The teeth are as sharp as razors. The handle has a lockback button, similar to what you would find on a pocket knife. I find this lock button to be the weak point on this saw. The handle does provide protection for the fingers when the saw is closed. The blade is completely enclosed in the handle. This is nice for packing and safety. It's ultra light weight, which means it's good for day packs or the like. We do a lot of mountain biking and would like to start camping more. This is a nice, light addition to my packs. It opens quickly with the button. The sharp teeth shredded through a few green branched I needed to trim at the house. Now, it's going in the emergency/camping shelf. I don't know that I would personally use this as a daily tool. I think something more sturdy would make a better daily saw, if that was your need. I rhinos it's great for camping or pack out bags.

I used this on older blueberry branches and it took me awhile to cut through, the hand saw took some effort for me to complete the cut. I see the use when a looper and/or my battery powered saws won’t work but this would not be my go to. I do have to saw that my husband had no problem using this for a cut near the ground that other cutting tools wouldn’t be able to be used to complete the job. So this saw works well for him. The grip is nice and feels well in your palm. The blade locks into holder and lever must be pressed to release, so nice safety measure. I see more use as this is easily packed for camping or outdoor trips but limited use for me in pruning.The gloves fit well I usually wear a size large but them being white will not last long. It says you can use a file to sharpen but as this is set up a blended saw tooth, I really don’t see me sharpening them.
