I'm not sure what I thought this was. Not this, that's for sure. All this really is is a mount with a piece of plastic on a hinge. It just sits in front of your optic. It doesn't clip on or provide coverage around the edges. I'm not super impressed, but it works enough, I guess. 4 stars.

This lens protector is primarily designed to protect the front lens of a red dot sight or scope. The protector mounts to a weaver style mount and flips up when needed. The large clear plastic screen is large enough to cover a 50 mm objective. The lens is very clear and I do not notice any distortion.
