These are so fun! My 6 year old and I put them together over six weeks whenever we were bored and looking for an easy and rewarding craft. It also offered a great opportunity to learn about the different planets and space. My only negative feedback is that we ran out of stuffing and still had three planets to sew. But that was easy to remedy at our local craft store. All in all, great purchase. I would buy again.

These sewing pushes are adorable. The instructions were easy to follow and able to be completed by an 8 year old. This was a fun creative outlet and life skill to teach my homeschooled children. We intend to use the finished projects as ornaments for our Christmas tree. I would definitely recommend these.

Had to help my 3 boys a bit, but they had a blast. Ages 7, 8, and 11. My 14yo daughter joined in and did a bit too. Highly recommend

This solar system felt sewing kit is wonderful. I found it to be a great all-in-one kit to introduce my 8 yo to hand sewing. Thanks to the pre-punched felt outlining where to weave the needle, it's the perfect beginning project to inspire confidence sewing. I also love that I was able to demo the basic skills needed with one planet (Mercury) and my 8yo was set to make the next planet (the Sun) all on their own which boosted their confidence through the roof.I want to take a moment to also commend the organization of the kit. All the planets and other figures are packaged separately making it easy to keep mess to a minimum. It also cut down on lost pieces since you only lay out the parts of the piece you're working on.

Very cute and well worth the money but getting the sticky parts to release off the backing paper needed an expert with a tool to get them to release.

This kit is absolutely adorable. It makes a great little family project that's pretty low commitment (score!).I love it's focus on the educational aspect. Both sewing info and info cards on the planets are included. It truly is an educational, fun, and very cute project. I bounced back and forth as we made this between 4 stars and 5. It went like this:-My 10 year old managed his pieces pretty much independently by following the simple beginner stitches diagrams included. 5/5-My 7 year old had some beginner struggles that created thread waste (knots, not choosing long enough pieces for the amount she was going to be sewing, and losing workable string length due to the knot we had to make to join them. Between this and the excess length needed to sew with such large needles the kit would benefit from more floss in each color. 4/5-They provided big safe sewing needles she can easily thread and a threader tool in case she struggled. 5/5-They gave instructions on how to join threads when she didn't cut a long enough piece 5/5-But the diagram was in extremely dark blue and black making it trickier to follow than if it had been in more contrasting colors 4/5-The stickers are really hard to peel the backing off of and I had to help both kids and use tweezers to keep it from pulling the adhesive off with the paper. 4/5- But the adhesive is SUPER sticky and the sticker embellishments stick down really securely 5/5At the end of the day it's still a 5/5 for me. I just think that the price point could be a few bucks cheaper and list the thread numbers so you can supplement with the exact same color. Or include enough thread to account for errors kids are bound to make and then the kit is truly comprehensive. It's not a dealbreaker for me. It's a good value for how many mini projects you get out of it if you build them one at a time over time. And you can't put a pricetag on quietly busy children.

This kit is well set up for children's space-themed parties or for a small elementary astronomy class. It includes 12 individually packaged sewing kits, with all the pieces cut out and pre-punched, and individual instructions included for each. There are only 7 needles, so either some kids will be sewing a couple ornaments or else you'll have to add extra needles. The kits come in a variety of difficulty levels. Our group had kids ages 4-14, and the younger ones needed a lot of help but were able to do it. It was very easy for the kids age 10+.There were a couple typos in the instructions, with some of the planets called by each other's names. "Sew the bottom strip to the Venus and sew closed. And you'll get a cool Mars plushie!" A little too much copy and paste in putting the instructions together, but it's not hard to figure out what they meant. They make a fun party activity and a cute garland, but they aren't designed to last. Some of the decorative felt layers are connected through a few stitches on one side but flap loose in the middle. Others are felt pieces with an adhesive sticker backing. Unfortunately, most of the adhesive stuck to the paper backing more than to the felt, so it stretched out and lost most of the stickiness when trying to peel away the backing. Also there was barely enough fiber fill to plump up the plushies. These negatives aside, I think it does do well what it sets out to do - provide a kids craft that is all ready to go, works for a variety of ages and abilities, and results in a cute space-themed decoration. Oh, and the felt information cards inclued for each planet were very neat and made a good learning activity in and of themselves!
