Only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the packaging. First shipment came in and the net was broken in half. It was easy to return and another was shipped fairly quickly just frustrating. Would probably buy again

I recently took up flyfishing again after several years away. I bought this to equip my chest pack, Iām very happy with this purchase.

This is a nice little kit for the price. Don't know about the hook eye cleaner, it will probably stay home. The lanyard is too short to be of much use, I had hopes that this would work to hold my net - not gonna happen.

I purchased because I needed a new pair of forceps and this package seemed like a good deal with the other tools. The forceps appear to be well made and lock tight. Be sure to open them a few times before you hit the water because there is a little trick to opening them. The 4-in one tool has sharp and strong nippers. I like the built in hook-eye cleaner as it is longer than most. The hook sharpener is not great but it will do in a pinch if you nick a hook on the rocks and want to keep using that fly. Sharpen your hooks with a premium grade sharpening file (and pinch the barbs down if C&R fishing) before you go fishing. The nail-knot tool is not as easy to use as the Tie-Fast style standalone tool but is usable and will prevent having to rummage through pockets or packs if you need to make a new connection in the water. The zingers are good quality but the cord on the net-retractor is too short to really be useful for securing a net while wading. I have a Dr. Slick magnetic net holder which has a much longer cord and will continue to use that. To be honest, I had to search to figure out what the other tool is, even though I have been fishing for decades. I am still not sure as it seems to be described as a hook cleaner in one place and a fly line cutter in the other. I doubt I will use it for either purpose. The set is still a pretty good value at under $20.
