For some toilets the wire they ship with this is too long. Swap the wire from your old ball if you can and this will work fine.

I have an old toilet with a large tank that still uses a ball and not a flapper. This ball forms a nice tight seal and the wire thing is long enough, which is getting harder to find these days. Attaching the two can be a little tricky, but it's worth the effort. Good product.
