The picture makes it look like a normal algae scraper for a standard fish tank but it is not. Read the description carefully. It’s tiny for a tiny nano tank. It’s not a blade like I thought it was by looking at the picture. Not sure what it’s made out of. Maybe plastic.

I was already using leftover gift cards and such to scrape my acrylic 55 gallon tank but hated cutting my arm up reaching to the bottom, this fixed that issue perfectly. A bit pricy for what it is but anything that makes cleaning the tank faster and easier is worth it to me.

I spent about 10 minutes doing a good scrubbing on my aquarium walls trying to get the excessive buildup of algae down and I was not disappointed! I love that it has two sides to deliver a proper scraping. The only downfall is that it is a little small, even for my 10 gallon aquarium. If it was a little longer it would be perfect! Anyway, I was very satisfied with its performance And felt like my aquarium looked a lot cleaner haha. It’s easy to use too, just scrape at the algae and it comes right off!

This is a very comfortable scraper and the slot is sized exactly to accommodate any credit card, which is great. There are no screws but it holds it snugly. It also does an excellent job of removing even the hardiest algae and can be used on both glass and acrylic tanks. The handle is very sturdy and does not bend when pressure is applied. I love it. The only thing I'd like is for the handle to be about 1.5" - 2" longer. Made my cleaning job much easier, definitely recommend!

Using in a red sea 350 g2+, had a small 'stainless steel' razor scraper, it was always building up rust on the blades, making it hard to change, and despite being a stainless shaft, can tell it was low grade stainless as always having some minor surface rust.So replaced with this beast, long, sturdy, dont have to worry about any rust, and the plastic scraper does great. Dont have any fear of it accidently scratching glass, and more importantly, i'm a father of 2 toddlers, so I dont have to worry about them cutting themselves like my old razor unit.If you need something with extra depth, and a strong shaft, get this unit.

This scraper works like a dream. NO scratches like my aquarium suffered from other types. It took 3 tries to get one that wasn't broken. The credit card like scraper that gets inserted, came broken in pieces twice. The 3rd replacement came intact. I wholly recommend this algae remover, not so sure about the seller and their packing for shipment.

It took me 5 minutes to clean each tanks glass to perfection. The card it comes with is literally just a credit card and works amazing. The whole thing is metal except the plastic clip for the card and the handle is a high quality rubber/silicone for perfect grip. And the angle is perfect not to move the water too much and stir up the gravel. This is honestly incredible and anyone who has an aquarium needs one

This is a very good product. No more scratches on the glass. No more wet arms when cleaning my aquarium. No more fish trying to eat my fingers.

Fairly expensive for what it is. Does work that great on some algae. I think it will eventually break from exerting pressure trying to scrape.Long handle is great though. Atleast I’m dry for now, until it breaks

I saw some other tank scrapers on Amazon that were based on use of a single edged razor blade. While I imagine that they may be *slightly* more effective, I don't know about you, but I scrape the inside of my tank without first removing the fish. So... whipping a razor blade on a stick around the inside of your fish tank seems like a really bad idea to me. If you argued that this "Flipper" contraption is simply a well-made handle with a long extension for the "blank" credit card it comes with, you'd basically be right. On the other hand, it's sturdy, very well-made and works quite well. If you aren't worried about whatever soap residue or other chemicals are on your hands, and you aren't worried about what chemicals may be part of your old expired credit card's magnetic stripe or printing, you could just hold an old card in your hand and do the same thing free. I find that algae grows fast enough in my tank that I have scrape it once a week. So, while I wouldn't have minded if the Flipper had been a buck or two cheaper, I'm really comfortable with having purchased the Flipper. Last point: One reviewer complained that the card didn't always remove ALL of the algae with the very first scrape and that, sometimes they had to (gasp!) go back over a spot another time or two. If you feel that way, then use the dang razor blade. That issue aside, I've got to tell you that this thing is easy to use and I didn't find the effort required to be unreasonable in the slightest. (That other dude should probably give his fish away.)
