We've ordered brackets from this company on several occasions; they always are well made and available in the sizes that we need. I made a mistake in the return of a few brackets and the customer service was excellent in directing me what I should do.

I ordered two of these brackets in different sizes and purchased a build kit with one of the brackets. The brackets are sturdy and should hold the advertised weights with ease without any sagging. All of the components of the build kit are great value if you don’t already have something similar, and the router template really simplified the install. The custom drill template also makes it near impossible to misalign your holes.I was also very impressed with customer service. I ordered the wrong size for one of my brackets and customer service got back to me and shipped another bracket within a day.Highly recommend and will be using these brackets again for similar projects in the future.

These brackets are FANTASTIC. So well-designed, and the installation help, provided by the company, makes it pretty foolproof. Don't be afraid to try them, even if you aren't a pro. Mounted into studs (which is very easy to do) I think my wife and I could swing from these things!ALSO, I had a problem with my order - WHICH WAS ALL MY FAULT. I sent a message to Sheppard and in less than 24 hours, they got back to me saying, "We want to make it right - even though if was MY OWN FAULT. Not many companies out there like Sheppard.BTW, I built my own shelves out of 2x10, and my project came out beautifully. I'll try to post a few pictures later. THANKS, SHEPPARD BRACKETS!

Very easy to install! Only takes about 20 minutes start to finish. They are sturdy and the design guarantees you should be able to mount into a stud. Highly recommend for anyone considering floating shelves.Note: when routering out the Grove ensure your plate is the correct way. Otherwise the router bit will hit the metal plate. There is a small taper to the guide edge.

The quality of these is fantastic. The router template made these so easy to get flush with the wall and give us the look we wanted while also being extremely durable. So impressed with the quality that we will use them in the future for other projects as well.

Easy to hang, level and on studsHard to get the holes in the receiving material just rightThis appears to be hand made. I love the idea, but it seems the mounting posts walked a bit when they were being welded from the heat. Maybe it was a newer employee that didn't know how to keep it from warping and walking? The integrity of the welds looks good. The mount points are evenly spaced, but, the ends of the mounts, which goes into the receiving material first, are not aligned or evenly spaced. That meant that the first holes in drilled were not wide enough. It was snug but would not slide all the way in. So, I had to oversize the holes in the mantel I was mounting on this, making it a little loose fitting.. It's secure and can beat a lot of weight, it just took some rework that shouldn't have been necessary.Overall though I am happy with it.

This is fantastic! Exactly what I needed. I build a bar with two floating shelves. I wanted to embed LED lighting into each shelf and have no sign of wires. This kit was perfect! I drilled the holes for the shelf supports and then routed a channel for the LED strip, which sits in a metal diffuser casing (also from Amazon). I connected the routed channel to one of the holes I drilled and ran a low-voltage wire through the shelf support and into the channel. Came out great! Shelf now floats with LED lights and no signs of any support, wires, etc.Two things to be aware of…(1) the alignment of the four holes for the shelf supports is pretty precise. Def recommend the full kit so each hole is perfectly aligned. Even with this, I still had some difficulty getting the shelf on there and had to fiddle with it quite a bit.(2) the wood that I selected for the shelf only had a 1/4” clearance on the top and bottom, so I was not able to use a router to route out the back of the shelf. Instead, I used my table saw to cut side-by-side cuts until the whole width of the back was removed and only a 1/4” remained on top and bottom to hide the bracket.
