My wife thought it was ugly floating around the pool at daytime...but once she saw it at night she loved it. It's really cool looking and bright and with the wind blowing it dances around the pool. You almost can't stop watching it like a fire. The outside is thick and it should hold up for a while. Assembly was as easy as inflating it and tossing it in the pool. Price is worth it.

I like this even more than I thought I would! Now I want another one.When you first blow it up there are a lot of wrinkles and it does not look that impressive. Once it fills out properly and lights up it is very cool and adds a lot of color to the pool! I like that it is fully automatic, no buttons or settings - just blow it up and float it in your pool. The wrinkles minimize once it is full of air and in the sun for a while. I took a photo of it in the sun and in a dark room, you can see how colorful the lights are.One last point, it is large enough that there are no problems with it getting stuck near the skimmer or hung up on the pool vacuum hose - it is a winner!

This item is an inflatable clear vinyl ball with a self powered solar LED system inside. It's completely automatic and has no switches to operate and connections to make. I inflated it as much as I could and it's not quite as spherical as the product photo implies but the instructions also note that the ball's wrinkles and shape will even out over time. It was easy to deploy. Inflate, close the inflation valve and drop it into the pool. Allow a day in the sun for the batteries to charge and it will run a good part of the night. It can be deflated for storage if needed. The internal fairy lights create a dreamy effect and I really love this for the pool. I might get a couple more. I expect that it should last a couple years out here in the desert. The sun is not kind to plastics, however I've had many solar lights last more than 5 years. It stays off in the day and turns on just after sunset. The ball floats freely and didn't really have any issue with the pool cleaning system other than not being able to float past the pool cleaners tube that floats at the water line.
