I recently purchased the Float-Controlled Automatic Chicken Waterer (3 Gallon) to prepare for my chicks' transition to the coop, and I'm very pleased with it so far.Assembly was a breeze. Everything went together smoothly and without any issues. While my chicks haven't moved into the coop yet, I wanted to set up their watering system for success.My main reason for choosing this waterer was the need for a reliable automatic solution for when we travel. It's important to me that my hens have access to fresh water without us having to rush home. This 3-gallon system seems like it will provide ample water for an extended period.Another key feature that I appreciate is the enclosed container design. It appears that this will help keep the water clean and free from debris, which is crucial for maintaining a healthy flock.While I haven't fully tested it with the chickens yet, I'm confident that this Float-Controlled Automatic Chicken Waterer will be a valuable addition to my coop. i like this item but i had trouble with the cups they would not seal the water when they got full i was lucky that i had some different cups and made this water tub work

Automatic 3 gallon chicken waterer comes on a stand, so it keeps it off the ground which is nice, or you can hang it in your coop. It can be refilled manually or attached by a hose to a water source to refill it. Each waterer comes with 4 cups to access the water, so it stays clean.

Cups get too dirty- they don’t make it through a full day- I will switch the 2 cups to the peck and drink

I loved it. The says it will hold 7 pounds. I’m not sure how to keep the bottom piece from falling off. Once you fill it full of Food. I’m using zip ties that I’m sliding through holes I put on the wall. I want to avoid accidental spills that could end up outside of the cage. That will attract animals to approach the cage on a regular basis. It’s very heavy duty. It also has two different types of tops that you can put on it for keeping water out if the weather is bad.
