This is super stuff.... used with a sponge pad on a drill ...What awesome about this product is you get a mirror finish with very little effort ..I use it on the rims of my American Ironhorse chopper...It brings back the finish to a glistening shine...Seriously ,,, I would pay twice the purchase price... This product is sooooooooooo worth it.

First this a great product, second it's messy so absolutely wear gloves and place whatever you cleaning or removing surface marks on a towel or something that will keep any excess from getting on other surfaces, don't get me wrong this product can be removed easily on smooth surfaces but will require some work on porous, textured or uneven surfaces (a moist toothbrush is useful). Use a terry cloth towel for the initial clean-up/wiping and then a microfiber towel for the polishing step, also keep a moist microfiber for wiping off around tight areas with grooves or irregularities. If you're removing minor scratches from metal, use steel wool (use bronze wool only on boats) the flakes will rust if you use steel wool, with a small amount of product on coarse to extra fine wool, don't be too worried about leaving marks with the coarse take your time and use the right amount of pressure for the type of material being cleaned, the finer steel wool will remove any marks left from the medium or coarse wool and leave a brilliant finish. For plastics or rubber clean small areas at a time and use small amounts of the product it makes life easier. When cleaning metals the product gets dark and messy this is normal, but remember it's messy if you touch anything other than what you want to clean it's more areas to wipe, have lots of gloves. The stuff cleans/works fantastically and leaves a protective layer for several weeks, want to make your stainless steel sink look brand new (wow), I have used it on metal, plastic, rubber, glass, and on cars and boat clear coats for small areas, compounds work much easier on large areas and in areas with seams or grooves not a knock on Filtz just experience with car and boat finishes, now for all the other surfaces forget about it this stuff is the best by far!!! You can protect with other quality coatings (polishes, waxes, or whatever you like) after cleaning or removing marks. I've used the product for years especially on my boat metalwork, isinglass, fiberglass, and chrome, lights, exhaust tips on cars, anything metal this is what you want!! Remember small amounts, small areas at a time. Last thing if the product dries or your forget to wipe off an area don't worry using a moist cloth/soft brush will easily remove it and doest harm the surface. Hope this helps

The Flitz polish in this size can performs exactly the same as the 1 pound can. Its not as "aggressive" as Semichrome or Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish. If you're doing a conservation project and you need to go SLOW...this is what you want.It DOES leave a residue that can be removed with denatured alcohol or lighter fluid on metals if you desire. It can be used with 0000 super fine steel wool where the combination will not damage the surface. When I first opened the product it needed stirring with a non reactive object, like a wooden paint stick or even a stainless spoon. This is to be expected and does not affect performance in the least. There was a strong ammonia scent. I contacted Flitz directly who assured me there was no ammonia, BUT I looked up the contents in a "California Right to know " listing and they said there's ammonia of some sort in there. Now this could mean someone just opened a can and thought it smells like Parsons liquid household ammonia, and assumed or they actually did chemical analysis. Some polishes like Semichrome and Blue Magic ,according to SDS sheets contain high quality mineral spirits, some use ammonia, and some have no scent like Mothers Mag Wheel and Aluminum polish. If that stuff starts drying out I just add a few drops of water at a time and stir, and its good to go.If you want completely non abrasive use RenWax.This is a great polish though and I highly recommend it

I bought this on a tip that it works on gas fireplace glass. If you've never had the fun and excitement of cleaning off the baked-on white residue from a couple of years of fireplace usage, let me tell you it is a chore. It is some sort of silicon deposit from what I've heard. The last time I cleaned them I used 3M rubbing compound and an orbital buffer. Even then it took about 30 minutes per panel (two panels total.) The Flitz stuff cut through 95% of the deposits in about five minutes of easy cleaning, all by hand, and I'm sure if I had broken out the orbital buffer it would have been even quicker. The glass looks fantastic. My next places to use it are a quite large stainless cook-top vent and the painted part of the fireplace. If it works well there I'm going to try it on some of our stainless appliances.I recommend two buffing rags and one application rag (which should be damp bordering on wet.) Apply a dime-sized dollop of Flitz for about 1 square foot with the application rag, wait a few seconds, and then buff quickly with a soft cotton buffing rag, picking up the bulk of the residue. The second buffing rag should be a microfiber towel for best results, and it will remove the smeary leftovers of the first buffing towel very quickly and easily.Every homeowner should have a can of this stuff in the garage. Five stars.
