A wavemaker makes your tank look more realistic. It allows tall plants to move fluidly and helps fish to feel the water moving around them. It simulates the movement in the real habitat. Another benefit of having a wavemaker is that it promotes water circulation so that all parts of the aquarium have access to fresh oxygenated water, further improving the health of your fish. If you happen to keep coral and other living decor in the tank, then it is essential to have a wavemaker, as these creatures rely on the movement of the water to supply them with the necessary nutrients

Simple but thoughtful mounting design that is super flexible. Easy to point in any direction and to adjust. Powerful magnet mounting system. The motor is plenty strong to move a bit of water across my 125, which I was happy about. It's a bit noisy, which was not surprising with AC wavemakers. It's a good value for how inexpensive it is, but definitely not in the same league as an inexpensive DC wavemaker.

It almost overworks. I use this on my 140 and the fish get a great current. Its easy to clean and the magnet works well. Don't recommend for smaller tanks...as it would be far too powerful. 00 gallon or up for sure

Loud noise and zero water movement. Not sure if they sent me a used product, I ordered new. It was delivered by car instead of your usual courier company like UPS.

These are great if you just need the most flow possible for the money. 100gph per $ is about the best you can do, and this has a magnetic mount instead of a suction cup - much better and just icing on the cake. These are so powerful I'm using one to create circulation in my 10 foot, 1000g pool. Just bought 2 more, one for my reef tank mixing barrel and another one for the pool.I like that it has an adjustable sleeve to reduce the flow if needed, but I use them at max output. The only gripe as others have mentioned, is the mounting clamp doesnt have much friction on the pump body, so it can move around and change it's direction over time. Some even said it came out of the clamp completely, but ive never experienced that.A simple solution is to wrap a rubber band around the centerline of the body. This will keep it in place and won't affect the flow.

Buena bomba, clon de tunze, de buena calidad, por 400 pesos no se puede medir más, ideal donde no requieres flujo bajo, la tuve en un red sea 130 y daba muy buena circulacion, sin duda la volveria a comprar.

I like that it does what it says, I read other reviews saying it stops working, but maybe someone didn’t properly clean it like it says in the manual/sheet. But we will see I guess

What you should expct... good rotation, but the way it is held together is very unstable. One minor glance can unhinge the "bulb" as it pops right out. I am truly surprised it remains attached while running. So far, no big deal... In an aquarium, i'd be a bit more concerned, because if it falls out it's going to blast everything in its path all over the tank. This is used in a 55gallon nutrient tank for irrigation along with another one of similar size. One near bottom, one near top -- oxygenates and mixes my dry nutrients into solution. Reduces rate of biofilm growth on sides with a good current, too.edit : came back for a 2nd one nearly 2 years later. The magnet along with being able to point it in any direction are more rare than you think. The other model you see out there also is difficult to put back together if any hard water buildup has occured. These are more durable and function better based on how i use them in a 55-gallon reservoir. So turns out my concern above never realized and the other one i bought around same time did have the problem of a loose frame fitting back together. figures.Edit: worked fine -- this chassis is even easier to pull apart though.. minor bumps can dislodge it then it hits impeller and it stops working. It doesn't "snap-in" even new out of the box.

I use this to circulate the water for oxygen exchange in my 72gal bow front. I used this to replace a powerhead which decided to randomly start backwards half the time. This unit is powerful enough to circulate the water without creating a tsunami. My coolie loaches love playing in the current. The unit is quiet, and starts in the correct direction every time. A couple of minor complaints. First, the 'ball-and-socket' kind of mount is a bit odd, and feels like it won't stay where you want it. If you get it into the desired position, and then stick the suction cup which holds the power cord it seems to work fine and has not moved. I wish the whole unit was black rather than having the 'ball' be blue, since black disappears into the tank better. The magnetic mount is the bees-knees - I hated the fact that the old powerhead which used a big suction cup would fall off occasionally creating the sandstorm in the substrate and freak out the fish. I recommend this unit.
