Bought first one and wore the grit right off. Bought a second one and used honing oil and it worked great. Make sure to use honing oil and not other oils.

This is a very well made tool.I set this up in a drill press to work on a 357 cylinder that I had trouble with ejecting some of the fired cartridges. I set up the hone in a drill press so I could control the depth.I used a light weight motor oil to lube the hone as I did not have any "honing oil".I used a stroke a minute as a guide to hone a small amount and get the clearance to eject the spent cartridges.After getting the clearance on 3 of the chamber's they looked so nice I did a quick polish on the remaining chamber's.It did not remove material very fast as this was a fine grained hone.I was very pleased as I did not have to send the revolver to the manufacturer.
