The Flexaust Flexadux T-7W thermoplastic rubber duct hose, used for duct cleaning, dust removal, and bulk material handling applications, is a medium weight black thermoplastic rubber hose, reinforced with a spring steel wire helix. It resists chemicals, moisture, ultraviolet (UV) light, external abrasion, and drag, and is flexible and compressible for easy manipulation. A temperature range of -60 to 275 degrees F makes it suitable for applications such as furnace duct cleaning and chip removal. This thermoplastic rubber duct hose has a wall thickness of 0.025 inch (for a diameter of 2 inches) or 0.030 inch (for diameters of 2.5 inches and larger), and a smooth interior that provides minimal friction and efficient air flow.p>
Duct hoses are flexible or rigid tubes that convey gases, liquids, and lightweight bulk materials from one location to another. They are made from an array of materials that range from polyurethane and thermoplastic rubber, to PVC and aluminum-coated fiberglass fabric, and are typically reinforced with a steel wire or rigid plastic helix, also known as a “spiral.” Duct hoses are secured with hose clamps or U-bolts, and two pieces of hose are joined with a hose connector. Common applications for duct hoses include heating and cooling, ventilation, fume and smoke exhaust, vacuum cleaning, moving chips and shavings, handling bulk packing materials, and water and waste discharge.

A little difficult to cut the support wiring that goes through it unless you have some heavy duty cutters, and sometimes it leaves a sharp edge on the wire. It can handle a decent amount of abuse, and will not kink allows for good airflow. We use it in our air duct cleaning machines.

After long time, we are in receipt of an American product instead poor unspecified Chinese product.The rubber is of good quality and thickness with holding of its shape and support from its metal spring. Using this as a short flex bend soapy water discharge from large washers located in very small place. Again, great product and congratulations for great American manufactured and designed part.

Product worked great but as we only needed 5' or so, purchasing 25' was a bit of overkill but we have more for later. Be sure the correct size arrives as somehow the original order shipped 4" not the requested 6".

Bought this hose for an AgriFab pull behind vacuum. The original equipment hose is not long enough for the type of lawn tractor I am pulling it with. Original equipment is 6ft and I cut this hose I purchased into 8ft length. Have enough now to last my lifetime

I have a Hasty vac that I was having trouble finding the right size hose for not to mention the right length. All of the places I called ( Lowes, HD, Tractor supply) only had the small short hoses for the walk behind vacs.Now by no means did I need 25 ft of hose ( I think that was length) but I am glad I have it now. Not only is this hose more heavy duty than the original but now I have enough to replace both hoses twice.

I would not recommend buying this product. I only used it a few times and it is falling apart already.

I bought this for my DR leaf vacuum, which I tow behind my zero turn mower. I think the flexing is brutal. The original equipment started splitting after only an hour. I've used this for a few hours now. So far it's holding up.I think I'm mechanically challenged or dyslexic. It probably took me an hour to figure out why my fancy offset hose clamps wouldn't "screw" on to this hose. The wire in this hose is spun clockwise. The DR hose is spun counter clockwise.Update: After a season of use the hose is still intact. It's continued to stretch to the point where it's dragging on the ground at times. It's even holding up to that abuse.
