Review of Flea Comb, TailGurus Effective Flea Comb for Cats & Dogs - Shedding Brush for All Pets - Long Hair Friendly - Durable - Versatile & Safe - Durable, Safe & Versatile - Portable, Pet-Friendly(TG2042) (One Size, Blue)I’m not sure what the “2-in-1” features are specifically (it never says) but for me I consider this a BRUSH and a FLEA COMB. It’s winter here so my cats aren’t shedding at all, and yet in just 1 minute of brushing it picked up a lot of loose hairs. (See my photos.) I’m impressed! I have other brushes, of course, but I really like the way this one feels in my hands, so this is now my go-to brush. It’s a bonus that it’s also a flea comb that I hope to never have to use for actual fleas…. but I’m glad I have it on-hand for if I do.Pros: * works great! * works as a brush too… and a good brush! * hard metal teeth are spaced close together to pick up fleas * teeth alternate in height, so if you encounter a tangle, you can brush with a lighter touch * teeth are rounded at the ends, so they don’t scratch or nick my cats’ skin * handle is smooth and comfortableCons: * somewhat pricey ($16 at review time)Earns 5 stars because this is a very useful brush+flea comb with a premium feel to it.

We had to cat sit a friend's cat recently and it brought some uninvited guests. Fleas! We want to check our long haired indoor cat every day. So I ordered this fleacomb for her. It works very well. I like how the teeth are rounded at the tips. This makes it more enjoyable experience for Gizmo. Gizmo enjoys getting checked for fleas as it is more like a gentle grooming than a hair pulling chore. The handle is also very comfortable for whoever is doing the combing. The angle of the comb is more ergonomic, so I'm pulling the comb through the fur rather than swiping sideways. We found a few on her at first, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the comb, but a few baths and combing sessions later, and they are gone.

This TailGurus Effective Flea Comb for Cats & Dogs is well made and easy to use. It's great for grooming short-haired dogs and cats, as well as longer coats that have already been detangled using a slicker brush or similar tool. The comb's innovative design boasts a blend of long and short metal teeth, carefully rounded at the ends to gently tease out dander and dirt from your pet's coat, minimizing the risk of scratching or pulling. This thoughtful design feature helps to prevent skin irritation and ensures a comfortable grooming experience for your pet. The comfortable grip of the ergonomic "L" shaped handle makes it easy to maneuver, especially when grooming hard-to-reach areas like the underside of your dog's legs. It's designed to keep you comfortable too, so you can focus on giving your pet the TLC they deserve.

This is a wow dash made flegum, but it's not the best for actually catching fleas. The metal bristles are a little too thick, so they don't grab onto as well as finer - teeth Combs do. That being said, it's still a solid grooming tool. They handle is comfortable to hold, and the bristles go through your pets first smoothly without pulling or causing discomfort. It works well for removing Lucifer and dirt, but if you're specifically looking for something to catch and remove fleas, this might not be the best option. Was slightly thinner teeth, it would be perfect.

I live with 14 cats and, thankfully, there are zero fleas - just fourteen kitties who love getting brushed with a variety of brushes, so I got this for the thinner-furred cats. The metal brush seems to really get in deep - without scratching, pulling, or causing any discomfort in any way to those with thinner coats. It does a great job of helping shedding and pulls out a healthy amount of their shed hair, so hairball help ahoy. The handle is a thick plastic with a comfortable rubber handle. The curve in it also makes it convenient to hang nearby until you need to help them de-shed again.

I have 3 cats, all with very different coats. A sleek short hair tortimese, a compulsive over groomer who should be a medium long haired silver/gray, but is instead mostly short bc of his grooming, and a super fluffy medium-long gray/silver girl. All 3 enjoyed being groomed with this, but the super fluffy med-long hair gray/silver girl LOVES it - she even let me do her pantaloons and belly with it, which are both areas typically reserved for when she's very calm and happily making biscuits while suckling her blankie in my lap (she's an 18ish month old foster fail I've had since she was a 10 day old bottle baby... Pretty sure she thinks I'm her weird looking mama!).The comb didn't get much fur off of any of the cats, but they did really enjoy the feeling of it and wanted more.I'm undecided on the combs ability as a flea comb only because we're battling fleas right now (they're never off season in Florida!) & it only picked up 1 among all 3 cats... but since we also started new flea treatment over the weekend that actually seems to be working. Since that could be a major contributing factor to the lack of fleas on the comb, I won't downgrade the rating for it.Bottom line, any grooming tool all of my cats enjoy is a winner in my book & it has earned a permanent place in their grooming kit.
