Mine was broke the day I received it wasn't sure if I was looking at it correctly or if that's just the way they are made now because I'm a lot older and when I had one when I was a kid they looked a lot lot different and well from the picture that it looked like it was broke from the get-go I could send a photo of what it looks like if you'd like to see it and from day one that's the way it looked and it stinks really bad if you touch it it'll make your hands smell so bad so I don't know it's definitely damaged and it has no things coming out of it that are clear it's very very foggy all the way through and it just looks like it's broke and I'm sure it's defective I also ordered a green one from a different company that was even bigger and it had the exact same problem so it's just they're just not making these very well like they used to back in the '80s in the 90s so that's all I got to say I definitely would not order this or I would be very hesitant about ordering any of them in today's day and age,so so dim, cloudy, smells awful when you touch it and I know that never happened to us as kids so it's not good and I should have sent it back immediately but I figured this us what I get for trusting things online, the last picture is what it was supposed to is look like...

This plasma ball is a nice size and the colors are very vibrant. I do notice that when it is plugged in but not on that there is a buzzing sound from the power adapter so we end up unplugging it when its not being used.

We bought this as a birthday present for a 9 year old and she absolutely loves it. She wanted something similar for her room but she was even more excited about this when she opened it. Perfect gift, it’s fun, and it’s inexpensive compared to prices when I was young haha.

I'll give a little understanding that stuff happens sometimes. However this didn't work out of the box. I tried seeing if the switch or outlet (both mine and where it connects to the device) and for one brief second it started up, after that nothing. I, like an idiot, didn't save the box, etc. so I just tossed it, being not worth further hassle. The point of the review is to remember save packaging and to note the poor workmanship of the device, especially for the price. We had just gotten power back after Milton. So I was looking forward to something fun amid a hurricane mess. I cannot find a reason to give you a reason for a good review of the product except that the size was nice. It is all cheap plastic (which was expected) and obviously not the checked by quality control, if it has any. Just be careful. Others have said it works good for them and I'm glad. I just don't like the crap shoot it apparently takes to get a good one.
