This is my second Flashforge printer and I'm loving it. It's very much an out-of-the-box experience; I was up and printing in about 15 minutes. Two important unpacking things: make sure you remove the retaining screws on the bed, and check the position of the switch in the back so that your power supply is set correctly for U.S. versus Europe. That said, you should just follow the directions thoroughly. But those two things are ultra-important.People complain about the Flashprint 5 software, but it actually works pretty well. I prefer Simplify3D, and I'm happy that it works perfectly fine with the Adventurer 5M. The laser leveling is fantastic; this is my first printer with that feature versus the old wingnuts, and it's a game changer.Overall this is an excellent printer for the price, and I'm quite happy with it.

UPDATE: 2 Months later2 months in and this is the worst printer I have owned. While the hardware itself is "fine" and works, the software/firmware have been a nightmare. The original software options barely functioned for remote monitoring and in the last couple of weeks they released Orca-FlashForge and FlashMaker.Problem with BOTH software is they were basically release as beta software and the remote functionality is broken. I spent 2 weeks with tech support and they have basically been useless. I've gotten better support from Comcast which says a lot.I also printed the official Flahsforge enclosure and bought acrylic panels for 50 bucks. Bought the camera for 25. Both parts being officially from Flashforge you would think they can work together but the camera cable was too short. Their supports response was it is indeed to short and I should source my own extension cable...My experience has been poor and I would never suggest this brand to anyone else. Avoid like the plague and spend you money elsewhere.Original:Wanted to wait a month before writing a review so I could fully use it and test.To those who don't want to read a novel. Its a good printer with LOTS of potential but as with most things you shouldn't buy on how good it "could" be.Out of the box the unit setup was quick and self explanatory. I last printer i purchased was the Creality K1 which had its own set of defects (which they fixed) so I was prepared for a hassle. Turns out everything was simple and I was printing within 30min.The issue begun happening after a few hours of printing. What everyone says about the included bed is true, its crap and you should get a replacement. I contacted Flashforge and they sent me their PEI bed right away when I mentioned the issue so anyone who purchases should be the same. With the bed issue resolved I can reliably get good quality prints. I use PLA and PETG with no issues and quality is equal to my K1 and just as fast. Any issues from are slicer or user error. Now for my real gripes starting with the software. The 5M uses Klipper which is awesome but its locked down and unless you super savvy there is no way to easily unlock its full potential. They have github page for the klipper but its useless for the average person.Next is the FlashPrint software, Its ok but very limited. Flashforge themselves suggests Orca slicer which is indeed great but then you cannot wirelessly sent prints and have to use a thumb drive. I tried using FlashCloud and Polar3d to remote monitor the printer and that also feels lacking in control and reliability. Creality Cloud despite all the spam is significantly better for remote management and control.I also purchased the Adventurer 5m camera direct from FlashForge. It took over a month to arrive and their communication TERRIBLE but I did end up getting it. While capturing time lapses is great, using it with FlashCloud or Polar 3D is terrible and again, remote management sucks.Lastly lets talk these hotends. Quick swap is great but 30 bucks per hotend is terrible. Luckily this is my secondary printer and I don't print abrasive materials but if you go through hotends regularly your wallet is going to cry. There is a lot of potential and promised updates. They CLAIM there will be full klipper support, OEM led lights, enclosure kits and more but they are radio silent as to when. I got time to wait and the ability to tinker on my own but if this is your first printer or you want something feature rich with no bugs, look elsewhere. My K1 with upgraded hotend/extruder has been reliable and I would highly recommend that over this (when its on sale)

This is a review of the printer itself, it's wifi connectivity, and how it came out the boxSet up took maybe 10min. This was my second print which at extra high level took 12hrs and looks AMAZING out the box/no tweakingThe fact that I can just sent prints from my PC to it without having to walk up to it use the USB/SD card is awesome for prototypes.I do mechanical prototypes so accurate models (within 2% accuracy which is a lot even for 1500$ printers). For this kind of work I had to find tune the Z offset but only had to do it ONCE.I keep it in my coat closet but tbh I had it in the living room doing overnight prints and even with this being a 1 bedroom apt and it being 20ft behind the bedroom wall, I slept thru it printing just fine.If you want hype control of your prints and supports, use prusa slicer and then use Flashpront to send the files to the printer. Even the expert mode in Flashpront is a bit basic for my taste... But I come from having an Ender 3 where I can to tweak every gosh darn setting to make it print. This printer just prints out the box, it's a tool. A gadget. It's a printer in the full sense, no need to mod it or mess with itThe fact that it's enclosed is nice for print quality. The plate is SUEPR STICKY without tape or glue... I'd suggest putting skinny models in a raft so that it is easy to remove from the plate. I had zero issues deattaching rafts from my prints with the basic Flashpront settings. If you have more than a few months of printing experience on an ender 3... You know that's am awesome featI see this printer in the middle between an ender 3 and a bamboo lab printer for price and speed. Much faster than an ender 3 and the wifi connectivity is worth 100$ in octoprint/raspberry pi parts + coding for sure. I'm super happy w it!
