Bought this desk to use as a printer table. I needed something small and this works perfectly. There's a little cubby hole beneath the top of the desk. The top of the desk does NOT lift up. It's sturdy, too. The legs are adjustable. It's a keeper.

The desk is sturdy and adjustable. We bought it as a place for a microscope. The storage space is good for holding whatever you need to store.

I bought this desk during Amazon Days and have enjoyed using it for months now.Being 5ft 2in adult, it has multiple uses:You can keep the height low and scoot an ottoman underneath it to use as a writing desk in a living room or study. I can watch TV and use the desk to eat from or do some light studying, comes in handy that way.The desk can fit in a tight space so you can put inside a guest bedroom at full height. In a home office you can use this as a secondary desk to hold more stuff as you work from home. The shorter height accommodates children but at the taller height it can easily be used by most adults. The cubby hole area built into the front of desk is deep and can hold a good amount of supplies. The surface area is sufficient for many items (book, small desk lamp, and even a laptop). The desk is quite sturdy even when top loaded and will meet your everyday needs.I am very pleased with the small footprint and with the functionality of this desk.It is a very good investment.

My 4 year old loves this desk, she can keep her preschool work and her practice workbooks to practice her name on. The best part it grows with her through her school years! The desk is sturdy, and well made! I would recommend this desk! I am very pleased

I bought this as alternative to other desks for my 3rd grader to use for homework, art & crafts etc at home. This desk is built to last and become a family heirloom unlike particle board desks one could by from large box retailers.I am also thrilled that the desk's height can be adjusted as my child grows as they are in the 90% percentile for height and literally heads above some of their peers in height. Its set to the lowest height and even then leaves plenty of room to grow until we move to the second height setting.I paired it with a swivel chair with a nice footrest, and my kid is thrilled as much as I am.

I have only ordered these desks for my school. The adjustable legs allows great flexibility for students from Senior Kindergarten to Grade 6.

I have long been searching for a way to get my laptop and mouse off of my kitchen counters and/or tables. While it is convenient to have the laptop close at hand during the day, all that food and drink in such close proximity to it was a bother. I had been eyeing a tiny little nook in my large kitchen, set by a small bay window....just the place for a very tiny little desk. After much searching, this particular desk popped up on Amazon, and immediately reminded me of my school desks as a child. It seemed to be just the size needed, and although I was concerned that it might prove to be too short, I ordered it.It arrived in only two days, well-packaged, and was easy for me to put together and tighten by hand (although it is probably a better choice to have two people involved, to better hang on to the legs while attaching). The legs are adjustable, as shown, so the desktop can be as high as 31"! I didn't measure the shortest height, but it appears to be grade school size at the lowest leg setting. I have it set for 30" height, and even with the storage space beneath, I can sit and type comfortably, as my legs fit below it nicely. There is just enough room for my 17" laptop, mouse and mousepad. I have used the storage space below for two black cardboard shoebox-sized storage containers for assorted desk items. The desk looks great and works with the theme of my home (I am a retired teacher)......what a delightful surprise to find such a nice item for a reasonable price. Thumbs up!

Context: I love in NYC and space is a premium so keep this in mind as you read. My daughter is 7-years old and has a cute little bedroom with a bunk bed, toy chest and what I describe as her "reading couch" -- a two seater, that converts into a sleeper sofa -- where we read books together. She is now in second grade and requires a dedicated "study area" which would have meant the end of the two seater couch, multiple friends sleep overs and our beloved reading sessions. My husband was adamant that the couch had to make way for a desk. So... in the typical Mum creative fashion, I decided that I would look for a smaller desk that could fit into a little nook in the room that would be useful for at least two years before the inevitable happened. Eureka! I found this very useful and sturdy desk that fit into a tiny nook that formerly housed a bookcase (I gave the bookcase to charity as well as most of her out grown toys in the toy chest to make room for her books.) I am still patting myself on the back for such ingenious because this little desk is absolutely adorable and functional and small enough for my Manhattan size apartment. I only take off one star because it does not have any pencil/pen ridges that should be a must for the little people that will use this contraption.Tip: before you buy a chair, please pay attention to the measurements. It is small but not tiny and ther are many chairs that may be too bulky. If you want to get at least two years out of this study desk, I suggest you get an adjustable swivel chair that can grow with your little munchkin, not to talk about the cool fun factor!
