They are soft and easy to wash, I do put mine on a close line. They completely protect the mattress and I like that you get two, so when is being washed the mattress is still protected.

We have four of these that we keep in rotation, for our two diaper changing areas in the house. They are excellent -- soft and waterproof, and can be folded or unfolded in different configurations. They are also quiet, not crinkly, so they don't disturb my partner during late night changes.

These are great to use to protect mattress while potty training. .,They are large so the sleeping area is fully covered and they are soft to the touch and wash and dry nicely.

I bought this for my dog who likes to sleep on top of my bed. He's old and sometimes has accidents. This pad is more than large enough for him and takes up a good chunk of my full bed. It's also sturdy enough that he can't really move it much when he paws at it to make a "nest" for himself. He's peed on it and vomited on it and I just pull it off and wash it. The flannel is soft and very tightly felted so that it's never leaked. It's not flimsy and it's reversible unlike many other, often smaller, pads. The one I bought is still good after many washings. I'm buying a second so that when one is in the wash, I have another ready. Good product and worth the price.
