We started purchasing these bags to use in our smaller household trash cans. We have been wanting an alternative to reusing plastic bags. They hold up well to heavier household trash items. Buying in this quantity, we felt the value was worth it.

These bags are not 20 lb durable bags. They are paper thin and tear everytime I put something in them. I wish I could return them but it's too late.

Regular lunch bags are as strong as these lunch bags, in my experience, and the tops of regular lunch bags (those purchased locally) do not tear as the tops of these bags do. I tried to fold the top of the bag to reinforce it, and the bag tore from the top of the bag halfway down the length of it. This happened when I was simply filling the bag once too. I do not consider these a sturdy bag without doubling them, but must be very careful when doubling them — or using them for any purpose — without beginning a tear from the top edge of the bag moving down the bag’s height. (I even tore a hole in the side or bottom of a bag when I was inserting it inside another bag to double the bags.) HOWEVER, doubled, these bags do work well, and I trust them to hold the contents in doubled form. They feel quite secure, though when I put a good amount of weight in them (4 lbs?) I hold them from the bottom of the bag.

Sacs résistants et de bonne grandeur pour utiliser lorsque je vide le bac à compost de mon comptoir. Très satisfaite!

I bought these to help wrap glass & fragile items for a home move. They worked great! I loved the thickness, they held up well and easy to open. They arrived quickly. I loved the larger size, too! I will buy them again for every day items and for cooling sourdough bread and other baked goods. Overall happy with my purchase.

Kitchen bin, organic waste, pictured is available on anmazon.caMy city issued these bins when curb-side green bin program started 2023. City specified compostable paper use only in the kitchen bins - no plastics. To make the bags fit, trim 5" off top of bag. Fold 3" inward and then bag fits even with top of bin. Print on bags says they are commercially compostable; however, not backyard compostable. Bags handle wet well, such as tea bags. I use trimmed 5" part of bags for grocery lists, paint masking, pan grease absorption, etc.

We use this in our kitchen to collect composting materials. We keep it in a plastic container right next to the sink. Just the right size, height, and sturdiness to do the job well. When one bag fills up, we just throw the whole bag into our city composting waste removal bin, and start over with a new bag. Works so well.

I am using this paper bags for my composting when I have alot at one time instead of filling my bin that I keep beside my sink.Even just putting the food for compost into these bags and then taking it outside to put in the municipal bin they leak through immediately and often break. They are not very study and should utilize thicker paper OR be two layers.

It is rather expensive, because of the shipping cost was high. Otherwise it is value for money if you are in USA. The thickness is very average. The only problem is , once it get any wetness, it is broken .. so not good for packing wet vegetables .. but good for dry goods ..

My family complained why I bought these, because they were sure they would leak or not be sturdy when I said I didn't want to use plastic bags for garbage any more. They are great. (Will write a similar review for a larger back for the big kitchen garbage.). They are sturdy, a great size, and I will keep buying them when I run out. Also good for lots of other tasks beyond garbage.
