I've been using this to clean up my trees after a big storm. It obviously isn't as easy as an electric, but it's safer and more maneuverable. Cuts through dead wood best, even tough hardwood like manzanita. After only a few days of use, the tip of it has a bit of a bend in it now, but it doesn't seem to harm anything and I've been exceptionally tough on it. Would recommend for all cutting of small to moderate sized dead wood.

a previous reviewer said these are made in finland. the company perhaps, but these are made in china. i bought two and over they seem alright but one came with 1&1/2 missing teeth in the middle of the blade

I expected this to be the typical (western) pull/push saw but it seems this saw works better on the pull than it does the push.Don't get me wrong, it works great, it's self sharpening, and it cut down an apprx 9inch diameter softwood tree in no time at all. Bought it on sale for $18.90 and it was worth every penny!

I am kinda a weakling when it comes to sawing off tree branches, but my gosh, this thing is sharp and easy to use even for me. I sawed off more and bigger branches than I expected to be able to do. BIG branches and tree roots. Starting up and using a chain saw is not something I really want to do so when I saw this it looked like something I could handle with out risking cutting off any of my own parts. And I don't have to worry about a chain or gas or oil or a cord. Just grab and go. It comes with a cover for the blade when storing so it will stay sharp. I don't know how long it will stay sharp but so far, it is earning its keep. I leave the chain saw to hubby and use this.
