A Fire Extinguisher rated 4A:60B,C is a good sized dry chemical fire extinguisher for Class A: Ordinary combustible fires (wood, paper, plastic, etc.); Class B: Flammable liquid fires (oil, gas, petroleum, etc.); and Class C: Electrical fires. The 4A means that it is the equivalent of 5 gallons of water for Class A type fires, while the 60 means it will cover 60 square feet for Class B type fires. Pretty good, and a good price. Keeping in mind that one of this size will only last for just less than 20 seconds, so having multiple such extinguishers is a great idea. I now have 3 for a 2,300 square foot home.

This is a medium size steel rechargeable fire extinguisher that should be able to handle any kitchen fire. It is heavily made and seems to be very good quality. It came with all the hardware to be mounted on a wall though we will keep it on the floor just under our peninsula within reach. Very glad to have it after watching a neighbors house burn down because they weren't equipped to stop a small fire right when it started. We now have two extinguishers strategicly placed in our home. We also added a couple fire blankets. A few dollars versus a whole house.

I haven't had to use it yet. I hope I never will have need to use this extinguisher, but I am glad I purchased it.

I haven’t had to use it yet but it looks sharp and talk about easy to use P.A.S.S. Pull Aim Squeeze Sweep. It doesn’t get any easier than that. It is at a fair price since we normally get these from a local company that sells them but we got one from amazon. If you’re on the fence, get one, you’re better off looking at it than looking for it.

This is a big fire extinguisher! It’s perfect for the garage where sparks happen, and flammable liquids call home… With our new property purchase, we decided that we would be extra vigilant and spend money on proper fire safety gear. Fire extinguishers were a logical first step...We bought a variety of First Alert fire extinguishers based on 3rd party reviews, and brand name recognition. I was especially interested in buying a professional fire extinguisher that could be serviced, tagged, and refilled - like this one!The valving and handle on this fire extinguisher are all metal and feel tough. We used to use an Amerex fire extinguisher at my automotive shop back in the day, and this First Alert extinguisher feels equally as heavy duty but can be purchased at half the price of similar size Amerex fire extinguisher. In addition, I am especially happy with the hanging hardware - it is discrete and easy to install but has a strong hold onto the fire extinguisher!

A lot of assumption on my part shall have to go into this review. A assume it will work, though i am not in a hurry to, if ever, use it. It's a fire suppression extinguisher thingy that i hope i never have to use. But nice to know these do work when you need one. Unless, of course, you shoot it at the flame and not at the base of the fire, like a person with no fire fighting training is likely to do. I do suggest taking a course from your local fire department if they offer it. Personally, i've had some training, so i know if it should ever be necessary, i could put out a small fire or at least control it long enough to dial 911. If you look at a fire and don't feel confident you can put it out, grab your cell and run, then dial 911.
