Helps keep the stove top from getting dirty when not in use. Comes folded up so you may need to let it sit for a while to flatten out. Comes with a storage bag as well.

Showed up folded and creases have remained since laying out overnight. Wasn’t what I thought it would be- the edges are fabric and it just looks cheap. Would be a return for me.

This is a nice looking stove top protector in black. It fist well but there are two sizes so be sure to measure your stove to make sure you order the correct one. I like the adequate thickness and pleasant ifinish. There is "no fiberglass itch." I did not test the full range of the claimed temperature but I am planning to use it more for converting the cooktop to work space temporarily than to cover hot burners! The little bag it comes in is a nice touch. I'm happy ;-)

I ordered this at the same time I ordered a silicone cover. I much prefer the silicone with the exception that silicone might be a little more difficult to clean. This product comes in an unnecessary travel pouch. I don’t plan on traveling with my stove top cover. It comes folded so it will take some time to flatten out. To be fair, that is not time that I plan on giving it. It seems very thin, almost like fabric. I can’t imagine this would cushion the blow of dropping something from the cabinet above onto the glass cooktop. At least the silicone has some cushioning ability. I’m sure this would keep the cooktop from getting scratched but it does not seem like it would offer much more protection. I would not order this again

It's a nice mat and does the job well, however it is thinner than I expected and because it came folded instead of rolled, it doesn't lay flat like in the listing photo, but otherwise does a good job and size was as expected.
