Perfect! Exactly what I needed for some important documents. Love the zip close function and the extra inside pockets. Highly recommend especially for the price.

I bought this so that I could keep all of my important documents safe in the event of a fire. It’s like a regular size binder that has sleeves inside so I can put birth certificates, security cards, and any other important documents, such as the deed to my home With a piece of mine that if there were fire, they would not be destroyed. The size is perfect for 8 x 10 documents with the ring alignment for a three hole punch. It’s extremely durable and well-made with a strong quality zipper. The piece of mined alone was enough for the value for the money I paid, but even so the cost was well worth it for it’s functionality.

It doesn't look like it would be fireproof, so I'm not sure that I trust that label--let's hope I never have to test it. But it definitely is a ring binder with pockets and what not and you can put your discs in it or whatever else you like. You'd have to add the pages.

Years ago, I created a "Important Family Info" binder in which I stored birth certificates, insurance policies, marriage licenses, social security cards, and other documents pertaining to our family. I simply kept a standard old binder with sheet protectors nearby so I could quickly get it in an emergency. Still, this is a MASSIVE improvement! It zips shut, is strong and long-lasting, and is advertised as water- and fire-proof (I hope I never find out if those attributes are up to par).

I was thrilled about the whole idea of a waterproof/fireproof document binder. That would require it being sealed from every direction. I noticed right away that the zipper has a big gap exposing the inside of the binder. If course I didn't want to ruin it so I didn't test the fireproof side of it but I did take it in a steady rain & walked from the middle of the parking lot into the store. Nothing inside was wet. If it would have fallen in a pond or a deep body of water, I'm not sure that the contents will stay dry. I guess it really depends on if it floats or not without being held underwater & what position it's in upon falling in. I really hope it floats though. Those are my only concerns with the binder. That's not going to keep me from using it for it's purpose. It's much better than the regular plastic binder that I'm using now. The size difference may not look like much, but I promise it's a big difference with the large metal rings. They're strong enough to hold several folders, over 100+ clear sleeves, small notebooks, & sealable document folders. It has a slightly hidden elastic pen band on the inside upper right corner to hold one in place. It has 2 plastic slots on the inside of the front & back to slide things into. The zipper appears to be decent for what it's holding inside with stitching in tact. It has a spine sleeve for labeling weather it's simple or descriptive. This is a very versatile binder. It reminds of the Trapper Keeper brand that I used a few years in grade school until they quit making them. Minus the weather proofing. It also has a nice feeling to it. Somewhat like a thin silicone maybe. It reminds me of the feeling of a jar opener or those slide proof stickers you can put in the bathtub. It looks nice. If I saw it on a shelf, I'd think something important is inside of it.I really hope the developers can come up with a better zipping experience where the binder is completely sealed. I would get several of them for family & a friend. It's more affordable than buying a weather proof safe. I'll put it this way, it is better than not having one & I'm glad I do. I know my basic binder would be soaked n melted within 2 mins.
