The rope on this escape ladder is very thick and strong! It is very easy to connect to our railing and throw over the edge of our deck in the event of a fire or other emergency at the front of our house. We feel much safer with this option available.

Great emergency piece of gear to have for second story roof escape. It is super heavy and easy to use, but must have a way to secure to a base.

The ladder seems to be made from high-quality materials and feels very sturdy. The rope is thick and strong. We tried to hang it on the winder with the hooks and it seems to hold everyone well. The ladder unrolls well, and with 8th, it is good for a 2 story home like ours. It also stores up neatly and conveniently, and doesn't take alot of space. I like it for the fire safely, just in case something happens we have this ready to use.

This rope is super sturdy! Just make sure you read the instructions before you order. We won’t be able to use this as a fire safety ladder in our mid-century home. There’s nowhere for us to attach the carabiners. We are planning to use it in a tree. But just really make sure that this will work in your home before purchasing.

This ladder is NO JOKE!!! If you have this ladder and you have it secured to a anchor and get it tossed out of the window, you will be safe on it providing you can climb down a ladder. The construction is solid, thick, heavy, monstrous materials - That part is securing and awesome! I'm giving it 4 stars because the anchors are not the easiest to secure - especially for kids, so I would suggest pre-anchoring this ladder before rolling it up and hiding it away so that piece is done should an emergency occur. Young children would definitely not be able to anchor it and may even has issues throwing it out of an elevated window by themselves - This ladder means business and is certainly made to get you to the ground no matter what if you pre-plan and set it up securely before an emergency occurs.

I’ve been thinking about getting one of these fire escape rope ladders since we moved into our second story condo several years ago. We only have one exit door at the bottom of a flight of stairs and a fire in that stairway or in our garage would trap us inside. Out of the box I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the construction of this ladder. It’s rated to support an amazing 2500 pounds, no way to check that but it's certainly built to hold a human (or 2) of any size! Great find and great buy.
