I wanted to use a scenery prop to create a low flame fireplace. I purchase this product plus others Either I don't understand how to make this prop imitate a flame or it doesnt work. If I were making a torch, i still don't understand how it would look like a flaming torch.

cool bulb but stopped working right away, the replacement is doing better but are wondering how long it will last. It's a cool light and you can adjust it to the right affect.

The package arrived with no remote but I was able to turn it on with another light remote, but was unable to see what if any changes could be made. It is TINY. The light is very small and in no way enought to simulate a fire.

I use this LED system to simulate a fireplace and I am very pleased with the results! The glowing ember effect is spot on! There are various modes for the light that simulate various subtle dynamic glowing undulations. I recommend installing the light so that you do not directly view the bulb but instead view the indirect illumination. See fire place picture. I achieved this by hiding the LED bulb behind the faux log. We no longer used the gas powered fire but it seemed a pity to not have the warm visual of a "real" fire. The resulting illumination is very realistic. I am currently running the system off the battery pack but plan on connecting it to a 12V transformer.In summary: The LED system does a great job of simulating animated glowing embers. The only thing missing is the directly visible flame effect and crackling sound of a real fire!

I've always been disappointed with the LED options for lighting a carved pumpkin. It seems LED tech availability and better pricing is getting to the point where products like this can be offered at a price that makes sense for more purposes. It is hard to come up with a reason to spend more than $20 for something that lights a pumpkin.This is brighter than my previous solutions and works REALLY well. I haven't done a full test, but it worked find for 2-nights where it ran for about 3-4 hours each night. I used Eneloop AA batteries. I will look into getting an AC/DC 12v transformer so I don't need to worry about leaving it on or recharging the batteries. However, having the battery pack is great as it makes it very portable.The color is spot on for a pumpkin. I believe pumpkins are fairly forgiving when it comes to any warmer light color. I wouldn't want 5000k color, but anything warm would probably work due to the yellow/orange tint inside of a pumpkin.The fire/flicker effect is very nice. It met my expectation.

Trying this out to make our own Halloween fire effect cauldrons. This item works as described. My son thought I was holding a flame in my hand when he walked in while trying it out. So it looks like the desired effect I am after. I do not know how long the batteries will last but hope it works for our decorations on Halloween night for a few hours. UPDATED: Worked great for the four to five hours we had them running. Perfect for our special effects.
