Arrived as described and are well made. They don't shed sand/grit like some other firebricks I've ordered. These feel very sturdy and have no doubt that they are food grade.Should work well in my outdoor oven project, just need to order a few more boxes of them!

We're building a large outdoor cooking area, and we're trying multiple brick sources to detect any quality differences before we order them all. These bricks are good quality with a good density, and arrived safely with no cracks or chips. There is generally a lot of dust in pretty much all shipped fire bricks (at least all that we've ordered), so best to open the box outside or on a tarp to catch the dust (or both). They are rated up to 2700° F, which is more than enough for a wood fired setup like ours, and will definitely save us on the thickness of the steel we need for our BBQ pit.

I'm working on building a smoker, and these were perfect for lining the smoke chamber. I need some more and probably some heavier ones for the firebox now too!

These are so worth the cost, if one has need of firebrick. I'm setting up a system I can cook on, fire ceramics, and maybe even some metalwork - pouring and casting anyway. I started carving when I was 5, and as an Artist I am a sculptor first, all else after; my junked-out hand and wrist really impede much of that. I've gotten 2 boxes of these so far, and I'll probably need to double that at least. Bit by bit, piece by piece, it is rare one has the resources to outfit a studio/shop in one go. Sooner than not now, I'll have it together; the dozen I have will allow me to do some things.

I am building a burnout oven for jewelry casting with these firebricks. They are about 1/2 as thick as regular firebricks, so these fit perfect in spaces where I had to provide relief such as the door. Well made and perform great.
