I needed a self-contained smart doorknob, because the panes on my door don’t leave room for a separate smart deadbolt that centers above the knob. Amazon sells a lot of random-generated company’s products, so I was concerned about a smart doorknob by “KLLOQUE”. However:1. Solidly built.2. Bundled with all installation hardware. Came with a strikeplate which I didn’t even need.3. Very clear and simple instructions. This includes for physical installation, app download, app registration, app use, and physical use.4. Nice configuration options, including the ability to disable the beeps, which I personally found annoying but I imagine some will like the audio feedback. I like that each “member” (added user) can get their own code as well as a fingerprint. I also like that remote unlocking can be disabled. I also like that the app does not require entering my home address in order for it to work.5. I was *very* happy to find that the finish is POLISHED brass, not matte/brushed like the Amazon photo shows, and compared their fingerprint-only version. Yes, it’s polished brass and matches my other door hardware nicely. I’m sure it’s a thin electroplate coat or whatever, but fine. If it looks bad in a few years, for $60 I’ll get another.6. Fyi, the charging cable is USB-A (wall) to USB-C (knob). USB-C to USB-C charging will *not* work.7. Register and they’ll extend the warranty to 2 years, or replace it at 60 days if anything goes wrong. I’m considering it.Nice job, KLLOQUE, or whatever Chinese company you really are. If anything goes wrong, I’ll update my review.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t have high hopes for this product. A smart door knob for $40? Seemed too good to be true. But with five kids in the house, my wife and I needed a secure way to keep our bedroom (and everything in it) safe. The reviews convinced me to give it a shot, and I’m so glad I did!First ImpressionsArrived next day, a nice surprise considering Amazon’s recent delays.Great packaging, a sleeve around the box and secure tabs inside.First thing I saw? A VIP warranty card (60-day replacement, 2-year warranty if registered within 30 days) and a QR code leading to an installation video.Installation & SetupSuper easy install, took me 5-10 minutes with power tools, maybe 3 extra minutes with just a Phillips screwdriver.Clear instructions, a fold-out guide that’s simple and easy to follow.First thing to do? Charge the doorknob for 3-4 hours yep, we live in an era where we charge door knobs!The app is user-friendly, and setting up the fingerprint scanner was seamless. No multiple scans or frustration, it worked on the first try, every time. I also set a numbered passcode and added my wife as an admin user.Game-Changing FeaturesHere’s where this thing blew me away:✅ Phone notifications when someone enters using a code or fingerprint.✅ Failed attempt alarm perfect if you want to deter nosy little ones.✅ Temporary access codes great if you need someone to enter while you're away.✅ Remote lock/unlock from my phone I can lock or unlock the door from my bed or desk. No more getting up every five minutes when my 6-year-old needs a snack! And yes, it’s also handy for… other moments (wink).Seriously, this thing has already changed my life in just a day. Someone knocks? I ask what they need and unlock the door from my iPhone without moving an inch.The Best Part? The Price.$40. That’s it. For all these features?! I’m buying these as Christmas gifts for everyone IDGAF. Honestly, I want one on every door in the house!Minor DrawbackThe app only allows one user at a time. My wife couldn’t access it while I had it open. I haven’t tested whether it works when the app is in the background, but if not, I’ll have to make sure I fully close it so she can use it. Annoying, but definitely not a dealbreaker.Final VerdictOne of my best buys of the year. If you're on the fence, just get it. You won’t regret it!

Honestly, this is a very solid biometric Lock 🔒 and great app, yet simple enough to use. The fingerprint sensor works well compared to another lock I had just a few years ago. The only thing I wish the app would have is to disable the privacy function for our use case as my wife or kids sometimes put it in privacy mode and she can't get back in unless I'm home or use the key. Not a deal breaker and I put a label on the inside knob to remind her.
