I started diving in the middle of 2019, so not the most seasoned diver, but pretty regular. I’m PADI Rescue certified.I bought this reel because I was frustrated with the one I had. It’s a common one, with a locking mechanism and little knob the wind it up. I bought it at my local dive shop. The problem was it locked at depth a few times, causing me to either let it go or struggle to unlock it and losing PSI!I used this Keenso reel the first time on my last two tank dive. I deployed it with ease on both dives. The hole is big enough for my thumb, although with my glove on, I think I’ill need to use it a few more times to get used to it. The plastic it’s made out of seems sturdy enough. The edges of the reel are not ridged but I didn’t have trouble hold on to it underwater with or without my glove on. The rope on it is actually 30m, which surprised me.For what I paid for this, it’s great value.
