Also known as vacuum flasks or Büchner flasks, have heavier walls than a standard conical flask to endure effects of vacuum filtration.
A Buchner Funnel, not included, is inserted on top of the filtering flask with a rubber adapter to seal the gap between the two parts during vacuum.
Side arm allows for flexible hosing to connect to a vacuum pump.
During filtration, material is added to the Buchner Funnel, vacuum accelerates the filtering process through the filtering paper, materials, or filtering layers. The undesired residue remains in the Buchner Funnel, and filtrate is held in the filter flask.
Filter flasks can also be used as a vacuum trap in a vacuum line.
Highly leach resistant to most chemicals.
