My son installed these bike fenders without trouble. They fit properly and help block mud and water. The material holds up, but they could be a bit more rigid. Works as expected.

Nice product and can work just as well as much more expensive one. Note the following before starting to install.1) Instructions really are not that good. Watch some online videos for better installation info for similiar products.2) It comes with six zipties. Unless you work slowly and are very careful, plan on buying some additional zipties before beginning. That way you'll be ready if you make a mistake.3) As soon as you receive the guard, curve it into the shape you expect needs to be to fit your bike and then tape it in that position with non-marking painter's tape. Allow it to sit for three days and it will become easier to hold in place on the bike when you begin.4) Have a pair of pliers handy as well as a pair of wire snips.5) When first threading the zips through the guard, be sure both ends are on the outside of the guard (away from the tire), otherwise, the tire may scrape on them.6) When tightening, only pull each about 50% tight until you get all of them on. Then pull each as tight as possible and use the wire snips to trim.

If you have disc brakes and not have to worry about brake calipers getting in the way, these will probably fit your bike, no problem, BUT if you have brake calipers that may interfere with their positioning, these may not be of any use to you. There was no way I could fit these on my Mongoose Excursion with caliper brakes.

This item came in on time, and the quality is perfect. The holes are symmetrical, and they lineup on the bike just fine. The front fender, and the rear fender are the exact same part, which makes it harder to screw up if you’re like me, moving 100 miles an hour. I just finished a ride through single track embedded with moderate features. Defenders stayed on without issue even with the hard landings, G-outs and shralps. If you’re looking for any efficient part for a reasonable price, look no further.

Kind of hard to give an in depth review of something like this, other than to say it came with everything needed to install it. It was easy to install and functions as it’s supposed to. I do like the design and color as it matched other components on the bike (a 2007 Trek Fuel) so I’m happy.

I installed the Fifty-Fifty mountain bike fender/mud guard on my 2018 Salsa Fargo 27.5. Installation is a piece of cake. Four zip ties hold the mud guard in place. As you can see from the photos very little of the fender protrudes out the front, with most of the coverage in the rear. There are multiple holes in the mud guard to facilitate installation. You can experiment with which pairs of holes you use and vary the placement (fore and aft) of the mud guard. This Fifty-Fifty mud guard is available in black with several different accent colors. I went for the black/gray version. The graphics are relatively subdued and as you can see it looks pretty good on this bike. You can also see from the photos that there is plenty of clearance between the Schwalbe G-One Allround 27.5 tire and the fender. This mud guard reportedly fits 26’, 27.5” and 29” tires - both plus size and fat bike tires. Regarding coverage for fat bike tires…..that would obviously be dependent upon the width of the tire. I would like to try installing one of these on my Salsa Beargrease fat bike with 3.8 wide tires. Quick shipping from the vendor. Item arrived unscathed in a large padded envelope. Directions were ok; it certainly helped to see photos of other installations but basically it is a no-brainer. Comes with plenty of zip ties.
