This was the biggest hit with my two foster dogs who are both about a year old. As soon as it came out of the Amazon box they were playing tug a war. I like the fact that it is undyed cotton and seems very durable (time will tell). Both dogs are in the 55-65 lb range and heavy-duty chewers (can and have destroyed stuffies in minutes). So this provides a lot of entertainment and seems like it will last a while. Also, the rope is heavy and the length and knots are just right for play.

This 42 lb puppy is teething and chews on everything. Took to this rope immediately and loves it.

Great product! Very durable, but be warned: if your dog is a very aggressive chewer, they'll eventually destroy it. Our dog is an Queensland heeler puppy, so he's especially mouthy and ends up chewing all the way through one of these in a couple months of playing tug-of-war. He also likes to pull individual threads out and eat them, which is why I'm very glad it's made out of natural fibers. The knots are very firmly tied, so they don't tend to come apart, but the ends tend to fray after lots of play, and provide ample opportunity for ingesting small bits of the rope. These small bits can be disconcerting when they show up in their poop, since at first glance they can easily be mistaken for large worms. It's by far our dog's favorite toy since tug-of-war is his absolute favorite play activity. I don't mind buying a new one every few months since he gets so much enjoyment out of them.

Only rope that my very large, large breed dog doesn’t completely destroy in one day. She will play with this rope day after day, tossing it in the air, shaking it and running with it throughout the yard. She has had this rope for about 3 weeks now. It is in 2 pieces yet still a good play toy for her. This is the second rope she has had and I will order a new one once it has completely unravelled. As the rope unravels, I simply cut off the loose portions of rope so she doesn’t eat it. I don’t recommend this rope for inside play if you value your furniture. I recommend this rope as a durable dog toy, knowing that it will need to be replaced every two or three months. Keep in mind that my dog is very large and an agressive chewer.

I bought this rope about 9-10 months ago for my 3 month old malinois dog. SHE LOVES IT!! HOWEVER, since my dog is an only dog, she mostly plays with me. And she LOVES to shake her head violently with the rope in her mouth. When the knots on that rope smack my shins...oh, brother...feels like the bone is broken. Big time bruising. And, if the rope hits something in the house that item is usually toast (where we live it is not infrequently way below zero with a lot of snow for 6 mos of the year --not suitable outdoor play weather). My computer has had a few close calls. AS A RESULT, this toy is often put up where my dog can't get it. We play with other things where the odds of a trip to the ER are lower. I'm now looking for a durable rope or something that will not destroy my belongings and make me look like I've been hit by a Volkswagen. It's a great toy, though!

We have 2 Dobermans and a Standard Poodle. They turned this rope into a pile of string in a couple of weeks. They did enjoy themselves in the process though. We bought another one but have to keep taking away from them when they stop having a tug of war because it doesn't seem to be made of very durable material.

Great size, length & tuff material to provide great play time for shared fun. Stitching good strength but must limit gnawing!

We have a beagle who is an aggressive chewer and finding a toy for him is impossible. This is by far the only one that remained intact and he loves it

I have a 40 lb English shepherd. She's the last dog you would think that would be a hard chewer. But it's worse than that. She finds the weak spot on every single toy and uses her side teeth to chisel something off so that the toys destroyed within 10 minutes. So when I buy a toy I spend $10 to get 10 minutes of free time. Yes, the substance that Kong uses is great, but I can't find any imagination or creativity in their toys. I've tried their multiply reinforced flat chew toys, and I have literally purchased every advertised durable chew toy in the stores near me, online, and from the brands that advertise is being for hard chewers. I tried the bully box or whatever the heck it's called, she destroyed each of the three toys within 5 to 8 minutes. She's ridiculous. I am left with three toys: durable dog fetch balls, Kong tug of war thing, and this rope. So let me tell you about this rope. Every other rope Bailey has destroyed within minutes. Shredded, no matter how big or tough it is supposed to be. And then I worry about what type of plastic she's ingesting. I'm not kidding you when I say that this rope has lasted daily pounding for 2 months. It's only in the last 2 days that she's starting to get enough shredding off of it that I needed to buy a new one. Two months! That's miraculous for me! And if she does chew Little fibers off, I have the confidence to know that they're 100% cotton. I will buy these forever so long as they are never outsourced and never Incorporated with some non-cotton micro plastic fibers. Do you and your dog a favor. Order one, as soon as you can! And then plan on ordering another one and another one another one so you or your dog dies first. It is the only dog toy in the world that gets my respect and praise. Period.

Bought this initially like many other items to try and it has turned out to the the most durable and therefore best value for our money so far. We have 2 labs who love to tug and chew and they really enjoyed this rope. lasted 6 weeks as one 3 foot piece and as it finally started to tear apart we separated the knots so they are like a 3 inch rope ball that they still chew on and our one lab is an aggressive chewer so this rope was tested to the limits. Worked well for our dogs anyway so I have since bought 3 more so that we always have one available when needed.
