Perfect sizes for household uses.I use the bigger one to tap the back of my hatchet when making smaller slivers of wood out of the bigger chunks. It allows for that precise measurement that axe striking does not allow.

These mallets have nice rubber grips to make hammering easy. I love the fiberglass handles as well. Wood tends to degrade after time and it makes your hand sore. I've had two rubber mallets fly off their wooden handles which is dangerous. I also like the two sizes. The small is really handy for smaller detail work.
