If you have an offset with string pop out issues:1. Get this bridge2. Get a proper setup including shim etcpDrop in simple. Totally negates the need for high end replacements. Have used on classic vibe and player series JM and Jag with no issues 😘. Just saved you a ton of $$ and hassle

We all know how horrible stock jazzmaster bridges are. With those grooves and strings popping out constantly (what were/are they thinking?) and I know everyone says get a mastery bridge which will supposedly improve the sustain but unless it’s giving me Nigel Tuffnel’s Les Paul levels of sustain I just can’t bring myself (at this point) to pay $200 for a bridge. I tried a regular Mustang bridge and was pretty happy with it but when setting it up being able to individually adjust each saddle’s height really makes life easier. Especially since the radius of fender necks is not flat. There is one other thing. The stock bridge weighs 56 grams and the modified mustang bridge weighs 65 grams. It’s a slight difference but a heavier bridge improves sustain. I may eventually buy a mastery bridge just to add value to my guitar but I really don’t notice any difference in the amount of sustain from my other guitars. So to summarize if you get a jazzmaster and soon realize what is an obvious design flaw but you don’t want to pay $200 for a bridge or if you actually have a mustang this is a great bridge. I don’t think you can do better without spending a couple hundred.

Feels virtually identical to the stock bridge, but slightly different serial number. Think the QA on these must be better, because these saddle screws don’t just immediately pop out.

My Jazzmaster came stock with a "Mustang" bridge that most people view as an upgrade to an original Jazzmaster style guitar. Still I wanted a bridge on which I could set the saddle height individually for each string. This bridge does just that. For under $30 you get a huge upgrade - highly recommend
