These are a Dunlop-Style strap lock that I’ve used on a Strat once before. I love the red color on my Dakota-Re Jaguar. Works well, easy to install.

These strap locks have a much less precise fit than my Dunlop’s … in fact, I would say they’re sloppy. Now, on the positive side, the color matches my bass perfectly!

Even though the whole component with the locking portion connected protrudes a bit more than I expected, the red stud portion of the lock (along with the lock itself) is a nice color touch to my all-white Precision which is highlighted with red-tipped Thomastick strings. They have a really expensive look and if you're a Fender fan will definitely be pleasing to the eye.

The product looks nice, but I am surprised that the included screws are very long- much longer than most any hole that is drilled into a guitar or bass. Luckily I put a little soap on the screws and they went in smoothly, but I realized if the installer wasn't that savvy with woodworking, hand tools etc., it would be WAY TOO EASY to twist off the screw into the body..Bad choice Fender! Well I got past that obstacle, installed the locks onto my strap- No problem. Played the guitar for a couple hours sitting down- I then noticed a small black piece of plastic on the floor- I picked it up and discovered that it was one of the plastic release tabs/buttons from one of the strap locks !! Now I have to get small screwdrivers and other tools to try and wrangle this disaster of a strap lock off of my guitar! Probably should avoid these strap locks until the design has been improved.
