Pretty damn great for $200. Relief and string height were perfect right out of the box. No further setup needed. I switched out the factory .012 strings for a set of D'Addario .10s which are my sweet spot. Decent sustain, tone, and the parlor guitar size is perfect for noodling in the living room.Edit: a few day of use and I'm loving this guitar. Ups my game for certain.

First off, this product arrived in perfect condition with no obvious flaws. Tuning was a breeze and not far off out of the box. Keeps in tune well. Playing the guitar was so much simpler for my smaller hands. I gave up playing previously as I had some trouble with the size of a standard guitar. The sound is rich, not “tinny” like you might expect from a smaller guitar. I’m impressed with the complete product and encourage anyone starting out to choose this guitar. Fender consistently pts out a good product.

It is a nice looking unit, for sure, and I actually like the gloss finish all over, which some have had issue with. Mine had the action a little low, resulting in some quite prevalent fret buzz mostly about halfway up the neck, especially with the crap tens it came with. Barre-chording was not pleasant. At least I think they were tens—I dunno. They were not that great at all whatever they were. Though I considered sending the thing back, I instead upped the gauge to 12 (Martin cheapos) and put a slight shim under the saddle. I used a strip cut from a credit card. The neck was straight, so I did that before I tried easing up the truss rod. Anyway, it plays great all over now, and my son will be psyched for his birthday here in a few days. It is relatively easy to play, even with the higher action. Overall build quality is nice, but it does border on that overbuilt sound. I have an Aria parlor-esque guitar that was comparable in price but is much louder, despite being considerably smaller than this dreadnought size. Overall a good buy. The solid top will improve with age, and the tone even now is very pleasant and loud. A superb strummer and an awesome looker for the two bills.

I bought this guitar for its small size compared to the dreadnought style I'd been using: I only play around the house -- in my parlor! -, and a smaller size was more convenient). I'm very well pleased with the sound and craftsmanship, which are amazing for the price. Action is good all the way up the neck. Others have said that their guitars needed some setup to play well, but that wasn't my experience. Out of the box, the guitar was tuned about a whole tone low, but after tuning it up it was good to go.I'd recommend this guitar to anyone who wants a full-scale but smaller acoustic guitar. The smaller size might be especially good for young students, though it's by no means a "beginner's" (which usually means lower-quality) guitar.

For the $, Fender delivered & considering some reviews, I may have gotten extremely lucky. But I think not! Fender has been around awhile & has a reputation to defend, so I think the reverse is true & once in a while a dud gets through, especially in mass production. Now for my experience. this parlor rings sweet n' rich as some parlors do, esp. when capo'ed. the sound is full & well balanced for a small git'fiddle though. The frets are well dressed & free of sprout, had to loosen B/2nd string & pencil lead in the nut groove to rid of a crick when tuning (not unusual), bracing & build is clean of excess glue n such, 'cepten Heel at Neck Joint to (great sounding) sound board, a wee bit o' (glue) squish, but hardly noticeable, not enough to takeaway from overall quality & playability and to my ear a great sounding & favorable priced instrument. Thanks Fender & Amazon !! Update, played up against a Martin DJR 10E, & it held it's own, not as creamy & rich but at $500 vs $160 git.. I would say it the 10E was not quite twice as good at 3+ times the clams !
