First thing is to have all your parts clean and inspect them for any issues, I installed the crank shaft seal first( I had painted the timing cover for looks), The speedy sleeve that is in kit is a treble design, but I had another install tool from before and got sleeve down bit more. I stopped and decided to buy the Oil Pan gasket which I wish that they would included it in kit! It wast hard to install it drop the start and loosen the exhaust on the back of engine and bottom, ( They should make a front pan gasket,I’ve tried using heavy beads of silicone but it only works for short time) It really isn’t hard to change pan gasket. This is great time to replace Timing gears and chain, I also bought the lower radiator hose , good time to replace it cause top hose clamp is very hard to get at with power steering pump. I also bought new Radiator Water Pump Termostat and top Radiator hose. This is best time to get everything replaced so you don’t have go back in fix a leak and should last. The only leak is from Power Steering pump one small drop ( Rebuild pump at least with new O rings.) don’t forget the small PLASTIC I RING that’s on the power steering hose it goes to very top of the fitting.

This actually did fit my 2000 3.0l Ford ranger, except the sleeve for the harmonic balancer. I could have made it work if I had something to slide the sleeve further onto the balancer shaft. Some sleeve kits come with a socket to do that trick, this one does not. Both gaskets fit perfect. Seal fits perfect. Use black RTV for the timing cover gasket, grey RTV for the water pump gasket. No leaks.

Everything fit perfect for the 2004 Ranger 3.0L and solved the leaking coolant problem between the timing cover and engine block.

the timing cover gasket was a little too long, so between the water jacket and the locating dowel, there was a slight hump, but its not leaking as of yet. should of returned it and got an original ford gasket.
