I make coffee on this carafe almost everyday, pours great, has the perfect size for 1 to 2 servings and keeps the content hot for some time, and most importantly, looks great! I was worried I was going to break it, but I've been using for more than a year and it's still as new.

We love this carafe. It tipped over when it was upside on a drying mat and broke, but we love it so much we are buying another one and have learned our lesson. No issue with outside being hot. Coffee should be brewed with water no hotter than 200 degrees F, so if you do that and don't brew past the 20 oz. mark on the carafe there should be no problem.

I bought this because my mighty small carafe was chipping slightly, and because I was frequently letting coffee go cold inside of it.This carafe does keep coffee hot longer, but not for as long as I hoped. I don't think my expectations were unreasonable, but this just ended up feeling pretty cheap. It's double-walled, but very light - it's hard to believe it is made of borosilicate glass. This thing is also in dire need of a grip or handle, I know I'm going to break it as it can be very difficult to pick up and put down without slipping when it's full. That's made worse by the fact that it feels so flimsy for a carafe of this size. Seems like form was prioritized over function here - I may need to try to put a rubber or silicone band around the neck.

I own a couple of other Fellow products so I am used to how well their products are made and packaged. But this double walled carafe is absolutely beautiful. I was eyeing this for a while on the Fellow website, and was surprised to find it listed on Amazon. A bit expensive but not that much more compared to the US price. Vendor shipped very quickly and it reached a day early even. A coupon code for future purchases would have been welcome.

Overall, this carafe is great. You can use it as pour over but it also works with an Aeropress. It retains heat pretty well and the double wall does the job pretty well. Only negatives are that, it's a bit pricey and I personally find it easy to slip.

I read reviews saying it's too flimsy, thin, and weak. Not sure why anyone says this as it's plenty thick, durable and heavy enough. Not sure how thick people expect a carafe to be. I also read people saying complaining about it breaking from them tipping it over. What do you expect it's a glass carafe of course it can break if you knock it over! I like the style and size of this and the V60 02 sits perfect on top. Great carafe!

* beautiful* dishwasher safe* properly sized for two 10oz cups of coffee* you can see what you're doingThis solves my brew-two-drink-one problem and is visually nicer than brewing into a thermal carafe. It does not retain heat like a proper carafe, but I only need it to keep one held-back cup warm long enough for me to drink the first one. If I need more delay or more than two cups, out comes the stainless carafe. This is so much prettier for my everyday way of brewing (Kalita Wave 185). And being able to compare coffee level to markings means I can skip brewing on my coffee scale (i knooow, all the coffee geeks just shuddered).

NOT MICROWAVE safe. It doesn't say so on this web-page but does on the instruction sheet (near a tiny little icon), and it really is so, putting it in the microwave for 3 minutes with a cup or so of water to preheat it before brewing causes the entire thing, including the outer wall, to become too hot to touch. No other glass item I have ever put into a microwave has ever become hot like that. It's like some ceramics or even Bakelite in this respect. And, as others have noted, the diameter is so large that it is hard to hold in the first place and almost impossible with a pot holder, and I have large hands.Pretty but useless. It might be nice as a vase.

I use this as cha hai (fairness pitcher) for gongfu style tea brewing, and it is perfect. Large for a cha hai but I use it to keep multiple infusions warm for a while sipping tea at my desk. Cat appreciates that I don't have to dump him off my lap every 15 minutes to brew more tea! Glass is sturdy compared to other double-walled glass products I have used, and the design is simple, elegant and stable.

Fellow is a great company, and this product is no exception to the high quality products they consistently make. I use a Kalita 185 to pour into this and it fits perfectly. I also think this carafe looks great. The double wall is critical, so I can hold the carafe without too much thought after pouring. Because of the borosilicate glass, I’ve been able to make Japanese iced coffee with no issue in this carafe to a high degree of success. Overall, another fantastic product from Fellow. I would highly recommend.
