I recently adopted a cat who is only about a year and a half old and full of energy. She was a stray and I suspect that she had been an outdoor cat, or at least outdoors for a while. She was scratching my furniture and badly scratched me when I tried to get her to stop. She peed in my plants and was generally making my life miserable. I was not sure that I could keep her, but I knew she needed a home, so I decided to try the Feliway diffuser.In less than 24 hours the Feliway calmed her down noticeably! She is much more relaxed and will now sit on my lap and purr to me and sit in the window and watch the birds without destroying anything. She is still a lively, active young cat that plays a lot, but at least now she is manageable and I'm going to keep her. We are still working on learning to use the scratching post instead of the recliner, but she is improving.I highly recommend this product. In retrospect I should have had the Feliway before I got the cat, but hindsight is usually 20/20. If you are introducing a new cat to your home, this will help.

I have a female cat that I brought in as a stray. I also have a chihuahua who is not the easiest to get along with. About two months after having the cat indoors she began to pee on my bed. Then she started peeing on the couch. It was the most frustrating thing in the world. We had to get a new couch because it was covered in pee. I immediately took her to the vet and they ruled out any physical issues but said it might be due to anxiety/stress. I felt like I was doing everything right. Her litter box was spotless, I tried to keep the dog away from her, nothing was working. I bought this about half a month ago and she has not had an accident since. She used to have one multiple times a week. I am so thankful for this product. I was so upset that I might have to rehome her. This has literally fixed everything for us. If you are having similar issues I would seriously recommend at least trying this. I just put a diffuser next to the couch and bed. There is no scent that I can smell but obviously it’s working for her.

My new kitty is VERY standoffish and stressed out. He is not aggressive but will claw or bite if provoked. Poor guy. I have had this now for just over a week and he is starting to venture out from behind the washer and dryer. He has slept in a cat bed on the top of the washer now for 3 nights. Either this product is working or he is just warming up to the space. He runs when he hears me coming still but maybe that is to be expected and not product related. Honestly, if it's working or not, it is worth the try. If it has helped out my little guy even a little - reliving some new home, new people stress, then it is worth it. I just want him to feel loved and comfortable and I think that will just take time. Maybe a bit less with the help of this product.

I have several of these Feliway plugs and they work well. I have one on each floor. I do think the price is a little spendy, hence the 4 stars. I have discovered that there are generic refills that can be purchased on Amazon that fit this plug at a tremendous savings. Just an FYI.

My one year old kitty came to our home super anxious and with a history of litter box blues. She was adjusting well until her little terror of a brother arrived. When GI issues manifested in her already anxious body, all bets were off on using the toilets. Bed, stairwell, floors and leather couch became her go to spots. Vet recommended probiotics and Feliway diffusers. We gave her both. We placed diffusers in accident prone zones. It took a couple of weeks before she was noticeably calmer. During this time we also changed her toilets from closed boxes to open ones and strategically placed them throughout the house. Happy to report she has been accident free. I have seen reviews of this product not working so I too was skeptical. While it may not work for all cats, we noticed the diffusers helped calm our girl and eliminate litter box accidents when used in combination with other tools.

Simply put, I have one cat that is suffering from PTSD and agoraphobia. Feliway was recommended as part of his post-surgical instructions (stress related urethral obstruction). Honestly, it’s a hard call and on how effective this is. I’ve used the spay atomizer in the past for other cats and situations without much success. I also realize every cat is different, and it doesn’t always work for every cat which is why I’m trying it once again. Since this was an outdoor to indoor cat now permanently indoors, I also needed to change the distribution method to a diffuser plugin for maximum and continuous coverage throughout the area. I decided on the Feliway Optimum diffuser with 2% feline pheromone complex (FphC). Since a diffuser covers “700 square foot area” (per the box) and I got the last one at the big box store, I ordered two additional diffuser kits with additional refills to ensure at least the back portion of the house including the master bedroom would be covered and “stress free” for 3 months. The starter kits contained one diffuser unit fitted for your typical 120 volt outlet and one liquid 48ml refill bottle (over 2 ½ times the size of your glade refill plugin). The unboxing & installation is simple as long as your outlets allow you to plug the unit in with the liquid bottle standing upright and not on its side. There is no discernible scent or it’s so faint that only cats can appreciate it. Since this particular cat also suffers from agoraphobia and the other cats are acting normally, it doesn’t appear the plugins are helpful. With the additional refills, we technically have a total of 90 days to measure for any changes. However, it was noted that the units don’t seem to last 30 days, more like 24, 24 and 25 days. I’ll extend the last refills with a timer alternating one hour on, then off to make it last twice as long. Unfortunately, the event leading up to Spike’s trauma was pretty severe (even for me) and may just take time for him to get over it. He’s still pretty afraid of everything and stays in “his” room 24/7 however, his bathroom / urination habits are back to normal as well as his eating habits. When Feliway works (per users & vets) it’s definitely well worth the price, but it hasn’t helped with Spike’s problem making it not a cost effective way of testing its effectiveness. 3 stars. As always, I’ll update this post in the event of any change.

初めて使ったのは2匹目を迎えた5年前。先住猫がストレスで体調を崩してしまい、わらにもすがる思いで購入し、効果てきめんで感激しました。今回は引っ越しに伴い、また先住猫くんが体調を崩し、大好きなご飯も食べなくなってしまい、前回のことを思い出して購入しました。効果は絶大で、その日のうちにご飯ももりもり食べ、元気になりました。効きすぎて逆に怖い気もしますが、猫達が元気ならそれでいいですね。本当に助かりました！

Me gustó el producto. Me gustaría que la luz verde que es bastante fuerte pudiera ser apagada, ya que ilumina el cuarto al dormir. El olor a mi no me parece notorio- de hecho el fabricante especifica que solo los gatos lo pueden percibir. Lo usé para ayudar a mi gato en la readaptación después de haber fallecido el perro que fue su compañero de vida- ya que el gato estaba presentando síntomas de ansiedad como comer de más y acicalarse más seguido y con mayor fuerza. El producto lleva ya tres semanas colocado en el outlet de luz y percibo al gato menos ansioso y sus síntomas han disminuído. Compraría otro para colocarlo en el otro extremo del departamento. Definitivamente sí lo recomiendo- aunque los repuestos/recambios son estúpidamente caros.
