This is the best cat tree ever. It doesn't have the shag type carpet. It is very soft textured. It has two based portions on the floor for better stability. Hasn't wobbled yet. My cat loves being up high and this is taller than my 6'1" husband. I had to stand on a step stool to assemble. I put this together by myself and I'm a 67 year old woman. My fingers were sore for a few days but all of the parts were there with a couple of extra pieces. Please set the smaller screw aside, because I didn't and had to check all of the others to find out where I accidently put it. Other than that, it was pretty easy to install. Sometimes, the picture doesn't follow the instructions fully but if you pay attention, you will work it out. My cat loves the size and the different levels. I find him in a couple of different, favorite spots, sound asleep.

Baby loves it, plays with everything on it and uses every area!---for me it was easy to put together. I love that my cat loves it. It was well worth it. I like that it comes with an anti-fall safety strap.My cat is about 7lbs but it can be used for cats larger.

I have a 3/4 wall in my living room where I put the cat tree. The cats love it! It is just high enough for them to climb onto the wall and over to the high windows to peek out. Haven't had it long, so don't know about the longetivity; but it's very sturdy. It DID take me a couple hours to get the poles in the right spot for the "house" corners, but went together easily after that.

Cats love high places, right? Well, my old one was looking pretty rough after a year of intense cat-loving, so I got this tree. It reaches nearly to the ceiling, and my two adventurers were already trying to climb it while I was still putting it together!It took a while because there are many pieces, but the instructions were clear, so it wasn't hard at all. I did have to ask a friend for help with the bottom hammock because my arthritis is acting up, but other than that, it was a breeze.I love with this thing, and can't wait to see my cats go wild on it. I am happy with the quality and value. No weird smells to wear off like the older tree, either. 100% recommend!
