weight distribution

Weight Distribution

Keeps your truck, trailer and cargo safer, due to improved steering control and stopping power.

The Fastway e2 hitch gives you a safer ride by providing exceptional weight distribution which is a critical component in reducing trailer sway.

The Fastway e2 hitch transfers trailer tongue weight to all the axles of your tow vehicle and helps keep the front of the tow vehicle firmly on the road. Proper weight distribution provides better steering and braking control, eliminating stressful driving situations and works to keep you safe on the road.

built-in sway control

Built-in Sway Control

Built-in sway control makes hitching and unhitching faster and easier. It provides a better tow and helps keep your truck and trailer safer in dangerous towing situations like downhill grades, towing heavy loads, passing semi-trucks, fighting crosswinds, and making quick maneuvers.

The Fastway e2 hitch offers faster and easier sway control and weight distribution. With built-in sway control, you can hitch up, tow, and unhitch with ease. There is nothing extra to connect or store, and nothing to remove when backing or making a tight turn.

The e2's rigid brackets provide two points of steel-on-steel friction, constantly working to fight sway.

Initially this product worked well but then the sway control bracket components fatigued over time and made the hitch unsafe to use.Customer service refused to honor their 10 year warranty and send replacement parts. They indicated there was a gap between the bolt and the frame. They then literally made up a new installation rule about shimming the gap that did not exist in their actual instructions. Actually, I installed both sides the exact same way and the other side is still in perfect condition so if a gap is the root cause of the failure then both sides should have failed.Per the photo from their installation instructions, I clearly meet the criteria for a “good” condition. It is interesting to note that their own instructions show a correct installation still has a small gap between the bolt and the frame above and below...In my opinion, you may want to consider a company with a better product and the ethics to match.

The Fastway e2 is an excellent weight distribution hitch (WDH) with sway control. I was torn between the Equalizer or the Fastway e2 and went with the e2 because I got to see it operate firsthand when my sister/brother-in-law got the e2. My original WDH had several faults that the e2 didn't have. The best part of the e2 is you never need the tool to load or unload the trunnion bars (I'm sure there is a situation where it's needed but I've not discovered it yet). Just jack up the truck a little and they come right off. The e2 is soooo much quieter than my last WDH (that original sounded like a haunted trailer coming down the road lol). Recently driving up to Black Rock State Park in Georgia, I heard the e2 WDH for the first time. Black Rock road is a very narrow, step, curvy, and has plenty of dips so not surprising that we heard the WDH but it was so much better that we at first didn't know what the sound was. This is a well made product, tried and true, and the price doesn't break the bank.

They're noisy when turning (metal on metal) but work very well in regular driving. Very hard to install the torsion bars when mounting, but the supplied install tool helps. You can reverse without issue.

Product is great, you will need to follow the instructions and have the proper tools or help to set it up properly, otherwise you are at risk of injury or deathly malfunction. You are using a product that is meant to carry a lot of weight. If you have the tools, the set up is very simple just follow the instructions and make sure you are in a fairly flat terrain. Once installed the product performs amazingly, I have a 7,000lbs trailer and I can drive and backup without problems, helps with stability and sway control.

I use this on a 28’ 7700 lb aspen trail being pulled by Silverado 1500 and it works perfectly. Easy to setup and definitely co told the sway and keeps the ride level. If you've never set one up before, Fastway has multiple YouTube videos on how to properly setup per trailer and vehicle ride height. If you’re a DIY kinda person, it’s doable on your own so you can save yourself a couple hundred bucks and a trip to the dealer. The box it comes in is HEAVY, so be prepared. Can’t go wrong with this purchase, it does the job. Fully loaded I’m running about 9,000 lbs with this hitch and it works perfectly.

This hitch is great. Replaced my old 10,000lb chain & lever system with the 12,000lb Fastway. This hitch truly stabilized the trailer from sway during passing of other vehicles or semi's passing you. You need to set the system up per the manual. I did have to purchase a drop bar to get the correct height for my trailer to ride level as my 3500 Ram sits at a higher factory height and a 12,000 ball. Make sure your ball & drop bar is rated at 12,000lb or greater. Installation & removal of the trunion bars is straight forward. No more back breaking levers. I feel much safer on the highway with the Fastway system. I recommend you have a power front jack on your trailer (Not a hand crank) as you will need to lift both the trailer and truck together several inches up to insert the trunion bars

I have been using a towing hitch that I purchased back in 2000 to pull a 30' rv, a person would have to attached the bars, connect the chains to the proper height, pull out in the road to place the sway bar (brake) on, adjust the tightness of the sway bar. Once on the road it worked great, but when you turn into a camp ground and/or backed up into a rv slot to camp, you would have to get out of the vehicle, remove the sway bar, put it back into the rear of the truck, get back in and proceed to backup into the parking spot. With this new hitch, I pull a 2012 30' rv you just put the bars into place, drop you jack and off you go, once you arrive at the camp ground, just back in, (you don't have to get in or out) great when it's raining. I would not feel semi's passing or if I passed them. Great hitch.I only thing I wished, where the hitch is attached to the trailer, the steel with all the holes could have had one more hole in it making it a little longer, OR, the unit that attaches to the truck just a little longer with one more hole so the main hitch could set a little lower. You see, I had professionals added 2 more leaf springs in the rear going from a 2500HD to a 4500 giving the trucks back end ability not to drop when placing the weight on the tongue, it rides smoother than it did with the orginal springs.I have been referring this item to several of my friends/other people.Good Luck
