I gave this to a friend that has a male horse that is about 10 years old. The horse isn't used for anything competitive but just a horse for leisure activities. She told me her horse had had stomach issues in the past as it relates to proper digestion and not 100% bowel movements. She rpoerted to me that after using this feed for a few weeks that her horse has had much better digestion and has more normal bowel movements. She said it was super easy to mix this in with his regular feed and that there was no issue with her horse not eating the feed with this mixed in. For the money and small sample size, this is a good thing to purchase to see if it works well for your animal before going full-in and purchasing more.

I like this probiotic formula for my horses. I think it’s important to know that they do say it’s show safe. That doesn’t apply to me, but I know it does apply to a lot of others out there. This supplement is easy to mix into food. I haven’t noticed any hesitation in my horses eating their daily portion. It appears to be high-quality and has excellent ingredients for their gut health. I think probiotics are extremely important and I will continue to supplement their feed with it.

Horses didn’t seem to notice it, they ate as they usually do. I have a dog on heart meds that seem to make him feel nauseated at times, so I added a tiny bit to his food and it seemed to have helped. I was struggling to get him to eat for over 48 hours and after sneaking some of this into some shredded chicken, his appetite came right back. That alone makes this worth its weight in gold for me. So thankful to have this.

The supplement is easy to feed - simply add it to feed with the included scoop. I fed it to two horses and had no problems with the horses eating the powder. It came in a 1 lb portion. I appreciate the smaller bag options as it is less of a commitment in case your horse does not eat it. However, this appears to be the only size available at this time, which could make it difficult in the long run and feeding it to multiple horses. It is recommended adult horses get 2 scoops and up to 4 during stressful conditions. I appreciate the ingredients included, especially glutamine.

This was a nice product to add to my horse's diet, and it seemed to cause no issues. This is a brand I trust, so I would expect nothing less from them. I would recommend this product

In my barn, Farnam products have typically been very palatable for my horses, which is half the battle when feeding any supplements. One major drawback with this product, though, is that it is only available in the 1-pound size. Even with a subscribe-and-save option it will cost approximately $1.35 per day per horse to feed (close to $500/year). This is more than double the cost of the leading competitor’s probiotics formula (Probios) and is 31% more costly than even the Platinum Performance probiotics. Farnam is a huge manufacturer; they need to make this in a more economical size to justify feeding it. There are too many other options out there.

I like farnam generally, and wanted to try giving my horse probiotics. This smelled great and seemed easy to use. However, I did not have a scoop in my bag. I even dumped the whole thing out into a large bowl and still didn't find a scoop. Since I don't know what the appropriate dose is, I could not give it to my horse. Others did not seem to have this problem so perhaps it was just a defect. The bag is resealable which is nice.

This appears to be a new product from Farnam- a long time trusted brand for horse owners. I've used a probiotic before but never one with a prebiotic included. I definitely like this product a lot but for 2 horses there is really not enough to comment on long term results. I have them each on one scoop a day which is half of the recommended dose. Neither of them have a problem eating it in their feed. I have a 30 year old Cushings horse and a 17 year old that is insulin resistant and prone to laminitis. I have trouble keeping weight on the cushings horse and his teeth aren't the greatest so he's probably not processing his nutrients that well. A product like this would be fantastic for him. Both of them need to be kept low starch and sugar and this should really help break everything down and keep their guts in good health. The problem I'm having is that it seems to only come in the 1 pound bag. For 2 horses on 2 scoops a day even if I buy a bunch of bags at a time it's going to be really expensive. I've looked everywhere and can only find the 1 pound bag. Hopefully Farnam will offer larger sizes that are more cost effective. I'd like to see a more concentrated formula maybe that only requires one scoop a day. For someone that feeds multiple supplements daily having to add an am and pm dose of something is a pain. Besides that it makes the package last only half as long and makes the supplement pricier. I think this is a great formula but I probably won't be buying more after I feed out this trial because it just isn't going to be cost effective for me with 2 horses on 2 scoops each. Here's hoping Farnam comes out with bigger and cheaper packages!
